Guude - remember the founder of Epic Games doesn't live far either. It's crazy, I remember growing up and going to the Cary Towne Center food court. Now that's going to fuckin' be Epic Games' headquarters. I actually live a good ways from Cary but I used to go to Carolina Railhawks games when I was a kid and we would go to the Towne Center food court before going to the games. I am a linux user so the fact that Red Hat is in Raleigh is pretty awesome to me...

The Telsa conversation is difficult, I have a model 3 long range and wouldnt change it for a single other car in the world. You could argue that's "fanboying" but I've tried enough cars and they just have everything right and every update finds a way to refine the interface even more. I find people that crap on electric cars in general have never used one - the function you get over gas (pre heat/cool) is enough of a deal for me, but the speed, comfort, economy I could go on just make it a no brainer. I have had the car a year and I love when people talk about how inconvenient charging is when I 100% have spent less time at the petrol station than I would have in my EV, I've used public chargers a hand full of times, otherwise it's charging on my drive, overnight every morning full tank of fuel. I'm on the "cybertruck is cool" side of the fence, mostly because it's at least different, all other cars are so boring and safe, I just like the variety honestly.

I do love electric cars. Have you done any road trips? I got forced into an electric car in florida to come back to NC. it doubled the drive time because of how often we had to stop and charge. I think they are great around town, but I am not sure at least the part of the world I live in is practical for them for long distance yet.

@@guude Yeah I feel that, I live in the UK so even from top to bottom mileage compared to the states is nothing. The (tesla) super charger network in the UK is also great, I can literally charge up to 80% from

​​@@guude Yeah, I just don't know about electric cars in Durham/Raleigh, and Musk is an idiot, but I unironically love the look of the Cybertruck. I'm into the 80's retro-futurism, so that's probably why. I might just be a weirdo though, because I'd own a Tron Lightbike if I could. I own a conventional (non plug-in) hybrid.
