Thank you for doing this . I'm really hoping that this really takes off. I think I'm really excited for that 80's type of game play. I mean storylines and characters . Being able to create the 80's style should be exciting . I know ill try to have Nes style wrestlers .

Which they are really adamant about, the creative side. Being able to re-create say wrestlers from fictional video games like Slam masters, or NES, or arcade wrestling games. They definitely want to leave you the tools to be able to do that. Within the realm of an AKI style game play.

I can see that some might be disappointed about only having a few match types in the beginning but I've learned from the 2k series I'm like 90% singles matches anyway so that's fine with me. Personally I love the art style. If i had to choose I'd prefer Hyper Realistic but we already have that with the 2k games. So I don't have to choose. Why not have something different and fun. Hopefully the demo comes out on time. I'm looking forward to seeing what a finished product looks like. Their passion really is showing. Passion like that leads to great games.

Demo was initially scheduled for November 2023. It got pushed back to Q3 2024. I doubt we'll have it pushed back again, but I'd rather it did, than it be rushed or unfinished. Same for the full release.

I'm shocked at how much people seem to love chain wrestling. It's never appealed to me, but so many people go crazy for it. Like the old test of strength in the AKI games when you'd grapple at the same time was good enough for me. Mash away, and hope you win. I never liked chain wrestling in the 2k games, nor did I really think much of it in Fight Forever. But I'm happy it's coming, for fans who want it, like yourself.

Three questions Will there be a community creations? Will there be an option where you can create your own story line for wrestlers? Will there be an option where it’s cpu vs cpu and you can pick before the match who wins, then, then watch the match? ( Hope that question makes sense)

Yes there will be community creations. No create a story. No GM/Booking mode. Any features not coming at launch, like the latter two. Reach out to them on Twitter or discord. The more people request something, the sooner it can become a reality.

If they were smart they'll have community creations on steam enable mod support. Those people be doing more work than the actual developers. They extended the life of fire pro world tremendously. They added stuff to the game I didn't think was possible. And they will take stress off the devs so they don't have to do everything

Hey! I’m new to the game and saw a whole lot of DLC of real wrestlers and I was wondering how much is the DLC going to cost?

Stated across several videos, and throughout comments across several videos. The DLC is split 50/50 with the wrestlers or estate. The wrestlers or their estate decide the price of their DLC. So some characters may cost $100 some might cost 50 cents. It's entirely up to the wrestler, not the developer.

@@JohnTallman-uf6gg I'm not too worried about any of the DLC to be honest. The CAW is created in such a way, that you'll likely be able to re-create each DLC 1 for 1 on Community Creations. Minus any DLC specific part. (A jacket, a move, a hat, whatever) So for wrestlers I'm a big fan of, and want to support, I'll buy, if the price seems fair. If not, I'll stick to community creations.

Yup. They will have an in game midi editor, to be able to re-create 8 bit style versions of your favourite theme's. Where you'll be able to download or upload them to community creations. They're uncertain whether or not they'll be able to do some form of Spotify integration. Or if you'll be able to use music that's already on your device. So this is their, regardless if they can figure something else out. They'll at least have this, ready to go for launch.

@@Mr_Dubbs when did i say that, you're putting words in my mouth, I just said that they should be worth the price & affordable take previous wrestler dlcs for either WWE 2k24 or even AEW FF, compared to 2k24 it's like $10 for 4 or 5 wrestlers & that's fine but like what was it in AEW FF it was like $6-$10 just for 1 wrestler alone & even after you buy them you're like I will play with the dlc for a bit then never again, I hope the DLCs in UPW actually come with substance. Also why would one wrestler dlc be $50, that's definitely not worth the $, if that was the case nobody would buy it, Make It Make Sense!

@@Kristian179 But again, you're basing prices, and asking, hoping that UPW is somehow picking the price for any of these DLC's. So comparing it to any other wrestling game, or video game period, is kind of pointless. As again, it's the wrestler themselves, or their estate choosing the price of their character. So if it costs $1 or $1000 for one wrestler, UPW didn't make that choice. So affordability and worth the price, doesn't mean anything. As it's not the dev pricing any of them. So if a wrestler thinks they'll make more money if they sell for $1 each, great. If they think they'll make more charging $10, then they'll do that. I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if there is at least 1 DLC character, with an outrageous price of like $50+. Which is why the creation suite and community creations is there.

@@ZebrasWorld controls should be identical to the AKI engine games. World Tour - No Mercy. Playing an emulator and popping in any of those games should give you a good feel of what you're in for. Fight Forever was quite similar, but still different in a number of ways. But it will definitely be a lot closer to Fight Forever than 2K controls.
