I'm tired of a lot of women looking the same...big behinds..crazy looking lashes...Dolly Madison lookin' "baby hair"🙄 If that's the way to look feminine...they can have it 💯💯 I love when a woman has her own authentic style...and nobody else in the room looks like her❤ Great video!

I’m 27 and living in the UK but grew up in East Africa. I’ve noticed in the west féminity is centered around men and the male gaze… what to wear, what to do, where to go, it’s all in the pursuit of being attractive and meeting men. Qualities like what you’ve described of strength, leadership, autonomy, etc. Are not associated with “fine feminine character”. Whereas where I’m from (and the women are extremely feminine) these are the exact things that are celebrated. You are very feminine Miss Eva, in many cultures what you’ve described is exactly the ideal - to be self sufficient, self aware and caring of the things you love. While I’m young it’s really sad to see how many girls and women live a life centered around men. Once you hit a certain age and stop being the ideal standard or beauty it seems only then women are willing to explore themselves beyond what they’re told they are or “desired to be”. I love delving into beauty practices of indigenous women from different cultures of the world to see just how they celebrate their womanhood within the context of the society they live in. Things like perfumes, creams, hair are things women enjoy around the world. Hobbies like gardening, hosting, care taking, etc also! Womanhood goes beyond the male gaze ladies - we have way more personality and that’s what makes the beauty of it all. Loved this video

I’ve met African women just as male center as any American woman I’ve known. The culture for black women seems to be marriage and attaining a man thus everything else is centered around that.

As you described yourself, I felt like you were talking about me. I'm hyper-independent, strong, capable, and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I also don't like to waste my time on things that don’t really add to MY life. The term "femininity" makes me bristle. I'm a woman, therefore whatever I do is feminine. That’s just how I feel.

There are so many ups & downs to life, however ONE of the greatest ups as a woman is becoming secure in who you are & getting out of the rat race of comparing/being like someone else. It’s so freeing to just simply be who you were born to be. I loved this vid…❤ Thx for sharing 🌸

The balance of femininity is important. I have no desire to be a damsel in distress, and I know how to ask for help. I like the outdoors, putting my hands in soil while wearing my red lipstick. I enjoy makeup and swinging in my hammock while my lipgloss is popping. I'm me unapologetically, and it irritates me when people think i will show up differently. Thank you for doing this video.

There are multiple facets to femininity. Femininity is about being and creating. You actually embody many flavors of femininity. Knowing what you want, valuing yourself and your time, expressing your creativity, you embrace nature , you enjoy beautiful things ( clothes, fragrances, environments) , you create an experience ( on your channel, in your home, in your garden, at your party, your outfits). You are different than the women who put out " femininity content" because of your authenticity . From what I observed, you have a healthy balance of light feminine, dark feminine and masculine energy. These women typically are following some steps that they read or saw somewhere.The practice of robotically following prescribed steps is actually masculine. They are presenting as feminine ( which varies by culture, age, location etc) but they truly don't understand it because they are not embodying it. Like you, mentioned we are not all supposed to be the same the way.

Eva, I’m so sorry that you had your heart broken in such a treacherous and duplicitous way. I can’t even imagine the emotions that would come from such a revelation. I pray that you are healing/healed from that betrayal. Step parent relationships remind me a lot of co parenting situations in the sense that oftentimes it’s easy to step in and be amazing when they’re not the primary parental figure. My sister is going through this currently because my neice’s step mom buys extravagant gifts and takes her out and talks about boys and all the fun stuff. Mind you they live in a different state abs only see her a few weeks out of the year. Meanwhile, my sister is dealing the schooling aspect, her daughters mental health and therapy, her daughter being bullied at school, after school activities… all the day to day stuff that’s stressful and hard. It makes it especially difficult when my niece is ungrateful and disrespectful to her mom, while revering her step mom. I hope one day my niece realizes how much her mom does for her and sacrifices because right now it’s falling on deaf ears.

I’m glad you spoke on femininity. A lot of content I see these days has a very contrived version of what femininity is, what it looks like, feels like, etc… I’ve come to believe true femininity is a very unique and individual experience. Perhaps, it’s simply a woman who is comfortable with who she is and loves herself for it. Awesome video. P.S. My name is Eva as well❤❤❤
@LB-kr5ku
@LB-kr5ku 8 ай бұрын
@thesummeraesthetic2045 In most parts of the world, femininity means the same thing. Only in the US do many women think it’s an “individual experience” as if it’s some subjective idea. This mindset is creating a culture of women who don’t know how to coexist with a man and ultimately not fit for marriage.

Yup... when I hit my forties (now 47) I hit my "F**k You" years hard. It's never anything personal at all. I've just seen the light and want to be on the same boat as everyone else in my life. It's just recognizing that I'm no longer interested in doing, pleasing, accommodating, acknowledging, recognizing, or considering other people who feel free to dump their wants and needs, opinions and ideas on me as I hold off on my own needs and wants because I've used my resources for others. NO...because believe me, once they get on their feet and even take off into a better situation than before, and YOU'RE in need as life can take a turn, they certainly won't take the last meat from their pot to serve it to you irrelevant to all you've done to assist them... they'd accommodate THEIR needs and families' needs first and rightfully so... that's what I've come to realize. After all, whatever was given to them by me (or my husband) wasn't by force. Hence, it's high time I learned how to play the same game. If my husband and I cannot part with it, there is no "making up for it later" and starting back at square one, or even frankly, whether we can or not, why should we always? If I simply JUST DON'T WANT TO, I WON'T.

This video is so on time, I locked my hair 2 years ago and have been feeling awkward about it so I wear wigs over them because I wanted the "look". For the past month, I haven't been wearing any wigs and am having withdrawals because am not feeling "feminine" enough with my locs and I was planning on getting a new wig to throw on. Then Eva's video came thru. Now am sitting here thinking, you know what this is me, why do I want to go back to look like every other woman out here? why am I so insecure? yes it's hard getting that Kardashian look out of my head but I am THAT GIRL, I am HER! Thanks Eva for coming back and knocking some sense into me.

Eva, you are definitely your own version of feminine and I agree that everyone wants to the the same person. Being feminine isn't restricted to being a helpless, lispy damsel clad in Chanel. I have no problem with girly girls, but I think because of social media Gen Z girls are sooo confused and think that being anything less than a Ms. Bey-type is cause to question their gender. Being feminine should be foremost about the invaluable internal qualities of womanhood. Healthy women are generally more emotionally intelligent, open-minded, relationship cultivators, intuitive, nuturing, resilient, and naturally alluring than men. We are the vessels of life. The superficial stuff is a tiny part of true feminity. When I was 30 I dropped the charade of always looking like I was ready to meet my future husband whenever I set foot outside my house. I will wear joggers, sneakers, a ponytail, and no make-up to run errands with very little consciousness. It's also fun to dress up, do my hair and make-up so I'll do that when I feel like it and enjoy the extra attention. Either way I'm feminine because it's so much more than clothes, hair, and a soft demeanor.

That forced femininity is centered around the European standards of Femininity...black women are not the same as white women and we shouldn't be trying to model thier standards of beauty and behaviors. Oooh yes! Researching the Kibbe types really unlocked stuff for me. We each are so unique and have different bone structure and shape. Learning about my true essence and the structure and shape God created me to be, has helped me dial in to what sparks joy for me regarding my wardrobe, and color, -the style of the TRUE me. This was priceless for understanding my 25 yr old daughter’s style as well. She is much taller and feels best in more substantial shoes. We used to argue over her shoes all through the years. Now I understand her Kibbe type vs. mine and I finally know how to shop and gift her things that are right for her, not me! Mamas and daughters… if you know, you know! I’m now 54 and I learned this at 50! I also learned I’m a full 2” shorter in my torso, making petites fit me so much better in blazers, coats, fitted tops, dresses. This was life changing! I’m 5’5 1/2” with long legs,but have a petite torso. I get funny looks shopping among these cute little 4’11 and 5’ women for petites🤣. But I’ve never had sheath dresses and blazers fit me like a glove before!! A Lands End employee had me properly measure for a swimsuit and she said I needed their “short” version of the suit I’d selected. I said, honey-I’m almost 5’6 I’m not short! She said it’s all about the measurement from your inseam to your shoulder and she said I was a petite because of that measurement! So, if you’ve struggled with finding your style, try looking into Kibbe, and if the fit of your clothes is always “off” measure and see if you need a specific cut that’s better for YOU!! ❤❤❤

And being a woman looks as different as there are varieties of flowers in the garden. We are all beautiful in our own way. You’ve got it right- being our authentic self, and finding contentment makes us confident and beautiful. The verse that has become the blueprint for good mental health through 32 years of marriage, 4 kids, cancer battles… Be joyful always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks. 1 Thess 5:16-18 Eliminating grumbling and complaining, choosing joy, talking to God about everything and feeling my feelings to Him, and practicing gratefulness-living out these verses has changed my life and helped me be the warrior chick God created me to be. We are free to be all that He created us to be. I have no need to be someone I’m not created to be. Imagine a world where we all are walking in our true identities, understanding our gifting, our callings, we would be glorious. I’m all about it!❤

I clicked on this title so quickly! I’ve been saying this in my head. I have no desire to be “more feminine”. I am a women, I don’t need to watch a video on how to be naturally me. However I am is feminine enough….And it’s so funny because you’re saying that you’re not feminine but you are describing feminine attributes, making things beautiful, being creative, keeping your home in good condition, all feminine attributes. You’re feminine enough. As black women we are more masculine but to me that’s what makes us so great. We really are everything.

You’re not more masculine you’re just naturally tougher than other women and that because your genetics are stronger , you’re designed different . @mobellescorner9702 I disagree with most of what you said. While you might be “feminine enough”, many women in society are not. If you seriously think that by being more masculine that makes you/y’all great, you are terribly mistaken. To be clear, there is nothing wrong with being competent in certain areas, but there is a fine line between that and being masculine. This is NOT an attractive thing for women to possess.

I love this Eva! I also tried the “femininity” thing and it was an epic fail. I felt like I’m simply just not being myself and I hated it. But what I learnt is that femininity does not come in one particular form. We’re all feminine in different ways and no way is better than the other. I think you’re actually very feminine, just in your own unique way and it makes you special just the way you are. We can’t all be these soft spoken damsels and that’s ok. Let’s all embrace our uniqueness❤️

You are definitely being yourself and being your best beautiful you. I too would choose to be uniquely you instead of the standard carbon copy female of the day. It should be illegal to adopt a child without parental consent unless there was abuse involved. What a bold and hurtful thing to do. It wasn't hurting you though as a secret so she waited for the right time, the best year of your life to lay it on you. I'm glad you pushed it aside and went to the shower, looking beautiful I'm sure and as my son said when he walked in and saw your video "I bet she smells good."♥

Great share and insight! I briefly followed a femininity coach, the focus was EVERYTHING outside of self, which didn't resonate with me. Like you, I turned away from false femininty and instead turned inward and worked on limiting beliefs that were the true blocks to me being me! Also, everything you described about yourself is what true femininity is!

I loved this video and I'm a few years older than you so I see you stepping into! A members group may be great but one thing that I encourage you to do before you do the video is have a heart to heart with your adult child(ren). When we say that our children had everything that they needed, as parents we have a very different meaning of what that is and like you mentioned, it's mostly the " logistics" of child rearing-less emotional, intangibles. Talk to your adult children about what kind of person they think you are ( or were) and how they receive love vs how you show it. Just like us, adult children can love their parents but not like us and many people simply can't process the thought that our children felt that we lacked in some area that's a blind spot as a parent. I think that it would be a great conversation starter and maybe provide clarity in areas where it may be needed.

It’s a matter of being balanced. My client was telling me how lady like I am and I told her I am all things. I take the trash out and held all my own stuff from Lowe’s with long nails and a straight pedicured toes. I can do it all. She said you don’t seem like that kind of woman. I said “ A lady with many talents “

I stumbled onto your channel because KZbin recommended you. GIRRLLLL, I love it. It's almost midnight, and I was starting to doze off when you started doing Anna, and I woke my husband up laughing loudly. You are such a breath of fresh air. I'm so sick of everyone trying to look a like (long weave, part down the middle, can't see with catapillars on the eye lids.) or same white sofa and home excessories. It is just nice to see and hear a mature woman that if I saw on the street without makeup, I could still recognize. Nice to see a woman just be and comfortable. Keep doing your thing. I'm so glad to have found you ❤

All of your videos are great. This one is has an effect I can’t explain. Sometimes I felt like you were telling my story. Several times over the years people and neighbors have offered to help us when they see me and my husband struggling to carry a load. My husband would refuse the help because he has me. Luckily I would respond with thanks, we need your help. If my husband doesn’t care that I may break my back, thank god, I do. He watch me do stuff by myself but calls me to help him with everything he does. I have been mowing the backyard lawn for the last 23 years, the only woman on my street that does that and I do it with my red lipstick, cowboy hat, garden boots and feel very feminine doing it. It’s very heartbreaking to hear about your daughter’s situation. I can’t imagine how you feel, but you are strong, you are invincible and the epitome of what a woman ought to be. I truly admire your honesty and transparency. I hope that you can find a little bit of comfort from your subscribers.

Love your channel! So on the same page. You ARE feminine. You are your kind of feminine. YOU are feminine because you are a woman. Girl.....I hate that the culture defines attitudes and we fall into it. NO. I am who I am and I'm happy with that. I enjoy being feminine my way😊

High end sports cars, Teslas, Porsche, are not for me. I drive a blacked out Jeep Grande Cherokee, and am totally fine. Not impressed with cars and my husband collects them. I just don’t care about what others think about me. I have just as much fun thrift shopping for bargains. I grew up very modestly with no phone, air conditioning, tv. But, am highly educated and cerebral. I don’t care what other people have.

My girl. You have experienced what I have been going through since 2021. Husband is a brat…my fault, adults kids have abandoned me, I’ve dealt with mine the same they had everything they needed, food, clothes, clean house, all that. I believe they had life too easy and now they as adults can’t deal. We as women have to make sure we are good as individuals first. Everyone else gotta get their own together. Estranged or not still love them but gotta do me. I am over 45 and love me some me. Thank you
