How many other VF2 tournament videos do you have? I'd be thrilled to see more. This is a really fascinating time capsule from the early days of VF2. The players are still learning the ropes, and getting away with a lot of mistakes that would be lethal in later years. But it was a nice change of pace. Thanks!

Wow, I forgot how unbalanced some of the characters were, particularly Jeffery. Seriously, two throws = win with that guy. Also, why do people NEVER use Kage?
@Zaiyith8 жыл бұрын
+Comickid15 Jeffery been like that for almost all of the VF series. Throws in general are tricky to land because the opponent has to be not moving and be sitting on neutral or catch them on step for it to connect. So if you get hit by a throw you truly deserved it; especially if you didn't grapple break. Kage is mostly used as ring out king in VF2. I know so little about him other then that.

***** I consider Akira a whole lot better for being a ring out king than Kage.. Plus, Jeffry does a piledriver and body slam while you're down, and you got 20-30% health left.

As rightfully deserved.

***** What? He gets ONE throw in because you block his combo, and you deserve to be near-KO'd?
@Zaiyith8 жыл бұрын
Comickid15 His damaging throws need to be charged up and thus set up. You can grapple it and also step backwards, forwards or duck and it'll whiff. In the VF series you cannot grab somebody who is in a middle of a input or is moving. They have to be holding exactly still or inputting nothing at all unlike SC, Tekken, DOA, etc. Plus it's not that unfair. That Akira player did a shoulder that did roughly 70% of his health in the video which wasn't even in a combo. Nobody seems to mind Akira having near OHKO's in this game at all.
