I love watching Simon & Jase on all their adventures. These older trips are bloody great. Makes me realise how long I've been a huge fan. One day, I hope to see you 'somewhere off the beaten track'

I drove this track many times back in the mid to late 90s when I used to work for Striker Resources. It was one of the main ways we used to get gear in if the Carson River was up and it was also a short(ish) cut to Darwin from the Seppelt / Ashmore sites. Oombulgurri was populated then so I imagine the track was in better condition but it was still pretty rough. Awesome country.

Thanks guys, Jase, love your attitude and philosophy even when making the tough decisions to turn back. You're spot on. The magic is in the journey, not just the destination. Thank you for reminding us about that. Stay safe out there. Swamps

Worked in Derby 2011-2013 as a FIFO from Brisbane. 3 months on, 2 weeks off. I did not fly home or back, I drove. Even driving on the black top, the Kimberley is amazing.
@Bigsoot73932 жыл бұрын
So you drove 3 days home then took 3 days to drive back of your 2 weeks off how stupid

YEAH, I AGREE with yur decisions. It's a very important MOVE, especially VEHICLE wise, no room for error, BUDD. But the only thing , if it was me. I would take my JEEP RENEGADE cj- 7 fibreglass shell modified with 37" INCH tyres as a kinda sentry VEHICLE, TO GO ahead to check kinda impossible terrain, TO prevent damage to the convoy vehicles.

2 days was a pretty ambitious target. Maybe should have watched the video at the start of the previous seasons trip with the 4WD 24/7 boys being the 1st out there and seen how many days it took them just to get to your intended destination let alone getting back.

Why don't they ever show where they sleep? Doesn't look like there is a pop up tent under the tinnie. Also, 3 tinnies, 3 maybe 4 people? Doesn't make sense way out there. Cheers from Canada!😁🇨🇦🍺

You boys obviously love each other. Why don’t you get married. Then you can both travel in the same car. Also, leave all that redundant kit at home and travel light. It will be much more fun.

instead of taking an Armarda of dinghies (1 is enough) why not take a trail bike each on a bracket on the tow bar. You don't need no 600cc bike just a 125, nice and light and you'd at least continue the journey, although with minimal gear, no more fridges etc

You seldom cut a tire in rock at 5 km / hr. It’s hitting rock at 40+ km/ hr that ruins tires. And do all three vehicles need a tinny?
