How do I handle passwords, you ask. I have bitwarden on my phone but I forgot its password, so the only way I can access to it at the moment is with my fingerprint. I think I'll soon go back to good old pen and paper (and a password generator for creating new, overly complicated passwords I'll never be able to remember).

Great Video. If I lose access to the vault and only have the master password left, how are all my saved passwords restored? Are they stored in a hashed way on the, for example, Bitwarden server, which I can gain access to this way? What happens if the company takes their servers offline for any reason? I saw, that 1Password gives you an emergency kit PDF, which can overrule the master password. Is this safer?

Another honourable mention: Self-made password manager. I coded my own, super simple, saves passwords with very basic encryption/ciphertext on a txt file, but I plan on expanding it. It doesn't have any syncing, so I manually back it up. Obviously not practical for everyone, but it works for me, and is another option for those interested and/or able to.

Not the logo but the fact that is locked to the apple ecosystem (thus is not an option for everyone), if you have only (or mostly) apple devices is a great option, but if you have an iPhone and a windows you won’t be able to sync your passwords and will make it less convenient…

0:04 it dosent matter if password is weak. when full databases is leaked lol. all data on fields NOT encrypted just passwords WHAT? and all data should ecrypt multiple time not just one md5() or sha256(). when is combine them md5(sha256(sha512())) and between those reverse result split in middle. it comes too many variants HACKER cant know. end result looks like md5 but its actually plaintext of LONG HASH it mean long password impossible brute force in 100 year. i had many years challenge my password is "1" figureout encrypthing. nobody havent still crack it. its that easy. simple password is ok if it encrypted way that hacker cant know means its just not one md5() hacker allready had hash for 1 even its not nessessary hold hashes it takes milliseconds generate it LOL

Password managers are unnecessarily hyped apps in my opinion. Default browser based password managers are so convenient and secure. Google, Firefox, Safari offer strong password suggestion these days.. and more over you can use your browser as an Autofill manager across platforms too. Ex: you can use FireFox or Chrome as a password manager in your iPhone. I don't think a dedicated password manager is essential in 2022
