Unfortunately, loud seems to be standard with many new restaurants, bars, and even cruise ships. Personally, we prefer the older Solstice class ships. The Edge class ships are too glitzy.

Thanks. You make great points. I cruise for lounges. And the Edge ships are a miss for me as they don't have any. I think Celebrity tried too hard to make the ship almost NCL like and deleted too much of their tried and true that works well in the Solstice class. The 4 MDR, great. Some like Eden, some don't. But don't delete the observation lounge. Put it over the Luminaie or relocate the Luminaie. Make a nicer casino. Add a card room and small library and piano bar or something I think in time they'll fix the ceiling and some of the noise issues in the Grand Plaza.. I kind of look forward to beyond the Edge class and back to some Celebrity basics hopefully. for the class that follows Solstice class are ace ships and I hope they don't change them much in the refurbishments.

Do you pay for the WiFi connection?

typically no because most of their fares include wifi unless you specifically book a cruise only package.

I had heard about the noise and that's why I didn't reserve the Fine Cut even though my husband is a Steak eater.

It was pretty loud for awhile. It was rough for the first half.

2 cruises with Celebrity on Apex and Edge provided me with incredible meals. Except Fine Cut. I order the dry aged New York, as I enjoy that steak. What I got was tough and flavorless. Friends had the tomahawk and found it to be eatable, but much more. To be fair, my daughter enjoyed her ribeye and my enjoyed her lamb. I am sailing with Celebrity again, and I will continue to LOVE Eden, but their steakhouse will not be on my schedule. BTW, Luminae was consistently incredible.
