Kalamazoo here.. nice video but no mention of the Asian and Arab restaurants. We often go to Detroit to several of those neighborhoods to eat Asian food. Usually it’s a group of us. For instance, we go to an Asian restaurant near Detroit Shinola that sells Asian breakfast called Dimsum. We also go to a rather nice Vietnamese restaurant just a block or so from the Little Caesars. Have you tried any Asian restaurants in the neighborhoods that you mentioned and if so, any to recommend? Do a segment on the new upcoming Asian town that Detroit has approved to bring back alive. Years ago, Chinatown was removed to make way for the highway. Now there is a consensus by the residents, including Asian groups who relocated to the suburbs, to bring it back to life in downtown Detroit. The city also had contributed $$ toward it. I saw the master plan too.

I am a native Detroiter now living in Kalamazoo. For 20 years, I lived on the Gold Coast next to Erma Henderson Marina, on the water and close to downtown. I am eager to see more affordable housing for all the long-suffering Detroiters who have supported the city. It is a great place to live.

Great video as always ! ,thanks for visiting us here in Detroit, you picked out really great neighborhoods that are all wonderful to live in, and thanks again for visiting our Lafayette Park neighborhood. We just love this place, so many things to do , so diverse, wonderful people, very cool, mid-century, modern architecture ( you did a really good job of showing the Mies van der Rohe glass townhouses, before moving into the 1300 high-rise,, lived in one of those courthouses with the backyard for 10 years , absolutely incredible places, some relatively reasonable to live in around Lafayette Park, which is a big feature and we walk to everything, whether it be riverfront downtown, restaurants, all the pro sports, meijers, you name it and and Eastern market. Tons of walking, biking, running all at our fingertips too. Thanks again.

Excellent video you picked really great neighborhoods to review and did a fabulous job on displaying the various attributes and the architecture and a very realistic evaluation of each neighborhood. There are indeed wonderful places to live in Detroit. Thanks again for visiting our Lafayette Park neighborhood, you did a great job looking at the Mies Van der Rohe mid century modern glass townhouses. That’s a wonderful development, lived in one of the courthouses for 10 years before moving in the 1300. Lafayette bldg. , diverse, great people, walking distance to everything in the city with restaurants, stores, culture, tons of walking, running, biking areas with a Dequidre Cut and riverfront and Meijers and Eastern market just steps away. We walked to all the pro sports games, too, and incidentally, even over to the Red Wings by the way 👍. Great video
