That’s good advice and, although I’m not a mother of a human, I’m a dog-mom, I still have the same problem - let’s run around with your slipper, pet me, let’s play tug of war with my teddy - and I’ve started to realise that, if I just say yes for a couple of minutes, he gets bored before I do 😂 so this is a great reminder and compounds what I was already noticing for myself with my puppy: just say yes, spend a couple of minutes, and he’ll likely go off and do something else leaving me standing there on my own with his teddy 😂
