I agree. There are many great sports (or athletic arts), but it would truly have to be practitioners of gymnastics. Probably because it is the most primitive of all calisthenic sports. Many techniques involving only the human body were developed as components of gymnastics. If we ever made contact with aliens, it would make sense to show them who we are. The primary goal of gymnastics (which in Ancient Greece was actually performed naked) was to explore the athletic capacity of the human body. And what better physical activity to demonstrate to foreign civilisations who we are than the frontier of human athletic capacity historically; our ultimate understanding of what is the capacity of the human body. And that is thanks to gymnastics. You may be interested to know that NASA already thought of this! The 71. image on the Voyager Golden Record, which was sent as part of a space probe to the outside of the Solar System in 1977, is an image of a gymnast! If you search for "voyager gymnast", you may still find it. Honorable mentions: swimming and climbing: difficult sports in themselves, but which to a species who has evolved to walk on the earth are insane to imagine for someone who is untrained. I might add martial arts, because it artistically captures our strangely advanced warfare against someone of our own species, which is consistent with our modern history as well.

I love men's high bar I am in women's artistic gymnastics and I also coach it and I love to see the variation in men's bar routines because I think most uneven bar routines are so very similar there is only a few women gymnasts who try something new I would love to see someone try moves and connections like this on the uneven bars

Most elements in gymnastics are named after the first one who performed it/invented it. And so is the Gaylord. Named after Mitchell Jay "Mitch" Gaylord, an american gymnast. Won gold (team), silver and two times bronze (individual) in the 1984 olympics

The risk isn't worth the reward in the new Code of Points. There are quite a few elements and skills in both men's and women's gymnastics that are undervalued in the new system. This is why you tend to see the same skills over and over again now.

The move at 1.15 looked like a more twisted Geinger but I don't know

a geinger is a half twist backflip done from over grip or back Giants while the winkler, or full twisting straight jaeger, is done from under grip or in this case, el grip. there is also a geinger with an extra full twist making it a 1.5 twisting backflip called a def, worth the same value as the winkler having a difficulty of E.

You cannot really compare his execution to the execution others would have doing the same thing, because no one else did such a thing. So it is difficult to say his execution of this particular exercise is worse or below average. The execution tends to suffer if you're doing a more difficult thing.

SwordHMX By the code of points, the Cassina is the highest rated--a G. But it really shouldn't be a G because at least 10 gymnasts can do it. Think of the Ri Jong Song(triple twisting double back) on FX...very few gymnast can do that, so the Ri Jong Song a more difficult G skill.

+SwordHMX Yes, it is a FX skill. And the two gymnasts who does it best is Uchimura and Shirai(18 years old!) has just added it to his FX and along with his signature quad twist scored a 6.45 at the Japanese National/cup. Shirai's SV on FX is currently 7.6. His goal is to increase it to 8.0 by Rio. There is a video of Shirai doing a triple twisting double LAYOUT on youtube that also has Uchimura doing a double front 1/2 off PB in practice. Both are stellar. Right now, there are no H rated skills in men. But Shirai is about to introduce one in the double layout 3/1. In the video, it was fully rotated and looked easy for him. I think the Japanese are poised to beat the Chinese this year.
