Great video! You hit the nail on the head about juniors playing with the aero pro and then switching to the pure strike/blade. Small suggestion, in future ranking videos, I would go from 5 - 1 (bottom - top) instead of 1 - 5, just creates a little more suspense :)

I switched to a Blade 98 from the PS97. It is much more forgiving. The Pro Staff is awesome but you really need to hit the ball correctly every single time. Tiny sweet spot.

Great video, I'm a rec. player and switched from Pure Aero to 97 Pro Staff, now playing with and deciding between Blade 98 v.8 and Pure Strike. Pure Strike has a higher swing weight and you get more power from it, but I hit better with the Blade with a lower swing weight, not sure exactly, but the swing to me just feels better when I have the blade. Also tested the Head Speed Pro 2022 18x20 and loved the racket, very similar racket imo to the Blade/Pure Strike, it had a ton of control and power and spin were still good. All great rackets though.

Putting Djokovic as an example of the head speed has nothing to do with reality, he uses the head PT113B 95sq.inch ! The speed is 100 sq.inch, a very big difference !
@MPTennis2 жыл бұрын
Hi yes..... I know he uses pro stock. And we know he endorses the speed pro 100sq. In fact all of the pros in the vid don't use the newest model. To show that was to basically showcase a speed paint job for the least. He is #1 in the world and uses that paint job. So I thought why not for b-roll. I also showed the #1 player at snhu using a speed aswell. But yes you are correct.

Hi what strings would u recommend for the prestige 2021 with 18x20 pattern? Rn I'm rocking the hyper g 16L at 54 pounds and still feel like I need a tad more power out of my shots. Should I decrease my string tension first for more power or switch to thinner string gauges for more pop? I've also tried confidential 18g at 38pounds and my balls just flew off the court lol.
@MPTennis2 жыл бұрын
38 lbs would be way too low in my opinion. I would try it at like 48-50 with 18 or even 17l.

@@MPTennis Thanks! Really looking forward to it.
@niberdoom2 жыл бұрын
@@NervousBr I am at no level of a pro Collage team player, but own both the Extrem tour ( customized with alot of led (Lynx tour strings) ) and the Blade 18x20 v8 (low tension with Lynx tour). Agree with MPtennis that Extremt tour is more spin friendly and also a bit more powerful, but prefer the better control, stability and feel/comfort of the Wilson. Specially stability. Also own a Prestige MP 2020, and find that the Blade is the perfect mix of these two. Only dissadvantage i noticed between the models, is that for my one handed topspin backhand, the Extrem tour , is slightly better. And in the serve the kick, with spin, gets the oppenent in more trouble. But on the other hand I do a bit more double faults with the the Extremt tour. More aces with the Blade.
@gregbishopmav2 жыл бұрын
I bought an extreme tour before settling on the blade for my personal switch. I think the ET might be better for singles - high/heavy. Blade is better for flat. Even at 54lbs, the ET was slightly too powerful for me. The maneuverability is ridiculously good though. If you weight it up for stability, it just becomes a crappier radical imo.
@MPTennis2 жыл бұрын
@@gregbishopmav I personally love it for singles and doubles and have had success with it in both. It really just comes down to personal opinion. I'm glad you like your Blade! Cheers!

I actually don't know the answer to that. Maybe just other racquets are more popular. OR Probably just because racquets like the gravity are new additions to head so racquets like the speed radical prestige or racquets that players would have grown up playing with. So they wouldn't want to switch.
