Firstly, a fabulous comparative review. Would love to see ATT keep up this review format. Jasper is an excellent player and provides good insights into each racquet (as opposed to the more generic, “honestly, it’s a decent stick” for just about anything!). No surprise he was underwhelmed with the Blade v8. Probably needed more lead to get the swingweight up sufficiently. It’s got a modest swingweight in stock form for a racquet marketed for advanced players.

Yeah, look, people tend to say that feeling is subjective, but IMO, feeling is NOT subjective, but the way that we interpret it is. The way he describes a stiff racquet as not sending vibrations is kind of misleading, but I can understand that he is interpreting flexing in the frame as a vibration, not as energy dissipating. In my town, people usually talk about the pure drive as being a soft racquet, but they want to say that you get easy power. Something to keep in mind, also, is that this kind of description happens because ppl string flexible racquets high and they feel boardy (not saying that this happened in the video, even though they didn't tell what the string and tension was/were).

Great format. Only problem I have with it is that if the Ezone and the VS had been going head to head in the first round then the VS never would have made it to the finals.... even if it is better, for the reviewer/player, than let say the RF 97.... it then would seem like some lesser racket would have won over the VS as the VS get kicked in first round but the lsser racket makes it to the second round. I hope you get my point. maybe all the first and second round losers should be also compared to eachother.
