What if you live in an area where all those different mortgage types just never come up and most of them are straightforward repayment mortgages or interest-only? How would you gain CAS in that case under yourself if we need to do all of them?

CAS only relates to residential and regulated mortgages typically. Most investment business is unregulated to typically you dont need to worry about CAS status - although some firms are stricter than others

Hey Frederick, you will gain CAS where ever you work, it is an FCA requirement, every company has a process to take you through to gain it whether employed or self employed.

Thanks Gary Some Networks are running CAS programs for Newly qualified. In this case are they providing cases to work on or do I need to find clients? Also how it works in terms of earning? Do I need to have finance during this time to fund myself? Or am I getting paid in return doing training? Sorry if it sounds silly but I m fairly new to this market - no idea how thing works

Every network will do their own duligience to assess if you are CAS. Although depending on how long you have been advising will potentially reduce the amount of checks
