Thank You Love! I'm sorry to hear that...with Seborrheic dermatitis, it may cause issues to grow locs because it is going to be affecting the scalp, which having a dry scalp can affect growth. I advise you ask your doctor to see how severe it is
@avidee33938 жыл бұрын
I did its mild the doctor say.... But I don't have dry scalp. My scalp produces it's own oil.... I've been using water only for 3 years now

Hi Patty I am in the mature stage with my locs but I have an autoimmune disease called psoriasis. My skin, scalp and joints are affected. The problem I have is the scales accumulate in my locs. I wash my hair often because I am particular about my scalp and hair due to my disease. I can clear some scales but others I can't, and they come back in two days. My scalp and skin as well as my joints are inflamed all the time due to the psoriasis. I have to say I love my locs and can't imagine life without them.

Thank you so much for your kinds words of compassion and encouragement.I don't style my hair very much due to the inflammation of my scalp and the tenderness. Locs are a Spiritual labor of love. PERIOD!

Just started mine.... Literally only about two weeks in.... My problem is that my hair type is really soft (that's that Indian in my family literally lol).... So it is nowhere near locking. I guess my question is, is the black Murrays beeswax good to kinda keep it coiled?
@BeSpiffyBeYou7 жыл бұрын
+Makai Bowie you're hair is not going to be locked at all in two weeks... I would never recommend or suggest anyone to use beeswax because it's hard to get out of your locs and it will cause major sticky buildup which can weigh your locs down and thin your locs
@makaibowie58347 жыл бұрын
Ok..... Thank you.... For stating facts to me. Yours are all that and I wanna complete my own journey as well. I know I gotta figure it out. But you know like I know, folks always got their own opinion about what they think is best. But... I'm not a follower lol. I'd rather go to someone who has lived it and knows. Please keep me posted on anything further that I should do to keep my hair healthy and growing. Thanks again for the video

BeSpiffyBeYou so what is a better product to lock your hair ??
@j.aimonis6 жыл бұрын
@@ashleymiddleton8844 well all you need to do is keep your hair moisturized and leave it alone So if you going out spritz it with water but always keep your scalp hydrated and only use oils. Its easy to wash away and it penetrates the scalp better without build up. I use oils :)!

Saj Daniel thanks so much I’ll feel much better next time I try to lock my hair

@BeSpiffyBeYou8 жыл бұрын
+Wiiliam Waddell Remind her that it's really what you want and that you need her to support you during the stages of growing locs. Once your Locs mature it will be a lot easier to manage

ugh..relaxer, not perm. relaxers chemically straighten hair which are mostly associated with black women, perms chemically curl the hair which are mostly associated with old white women and asians.
@BeSpiffyBeYou8 жыл бұрын
+hello perm is still a commonly used term among black women, but if you wanted to get technical then, you're right.. And I wouldn't say it's mostly old white women who get perms. Id say it's common among those with finer texture hair, in general.

Asa Marley-Jester me too! I have hella mega whoa curly hair so should be interesting, I'm getting a friend who did her own to help me and camping in for a full 12hrs, no breaks and just gonna go until they're done, I'm adding in 30 extensions 16"-19" that I made from a few client's pony tails that I cut off during a charity chop event at my salon... Soooooooo excited!!!!
