I went from 0 to a marathon in 11 months at age 56 and finished with 5h14. That said from there on I took me 3 1/2 years to finally make a big progress to 4h14. What I learned in the past 4 1/2 years is consistency, recovery (sleep, rest days and reducing alcohol consumption), strength training and proper fueling was my key to getting there. Now I just need to learn to take running less serious to refrain from getting stir-crazy before a race. I tried multiple things like low heart rate training, higher weekly milage and more but eventually what helped me the most is when I enjoy running which includes hard tempo, interval or hill repeats sessions but also easy and long runs. When I start to feel stressed out I am changing my training plan until I am back at enjoying it.

Thanks for watching! If we listened to the trolls we would’ve stopped creating videos years ago. Haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate. That’s just what they do.

I listened to your advice. I progressed from a very slow runner until I became an Olympic gold medalist. Your method really works. I am a world champion runner now.

Always talking about running faster. That’s the number one problem right there but it’s not good for your business model.
