@@everettstormy Should be fine to stop a tree. Not enough to grind into rocks. I have 3/16 on my 6000lb vehicle and it does find slamming into rocks, the whole weight on a single point. So if that can support 3-6k lbs, thicker steel can deflect a stick. If he goes legit rock crawling with this and is bashing the skids on rocks, hes gonna tip right over anyways. Too damn tall for that.

The valve that was on probably rotated during the malay. There’s a receiver toward the front of that valve (on both side) that allows you to hook up to an independent source when towing the vehicle. These are also located on the back side of the vehicle, near the towing hitch, used for towing trailers that require the same air for braking. This is an awesome vehicle! Even before mods. You did a great job!

On a truck with air brakes if you don't have any air in the tanks your spring brakes will apply. The brake chambers on the rear are spring brakes. When you apply air to them with the knob you push in it will compress the spring and "release" the brakes. Simply put... If you run out of air you're not moving. Store a 9/16 wrench in the truck somewhere and if you ever have a problem with a brake chamber you can totally back off one of the slack adjusters and get it home with 3 other brakes. Also, a dime fits nicely in the air line fitting going into the brake chamber. It will block the air and isolate that chamber and keep it from bleeding your air out so fast.
