Mike Evan’s just gets lucky every year and Godwin just seems to get unlucky more than not. Not that he hasn’t had a good year before but he’s definitely disappointed many people many times.
@IEdjumacateАй бұрын
Evan’s gets lucky every year, huh? Is that why he’s had over a decade straight of 1k+ receiving yards with a ton of middling QBs & a couple years of Brady? Lol

I also share the sentiment on Sutton. I don’t care about TD regression the guy is a stud.
@TheClassicalKids3 ай бұрын
Those highlights were phenomenal, made me realize how much I’ve been sleeping on him. Those were some highly contested catches, hopefully Bo will make it a bit easier next year.. probly shouldn’t get my hopes up 😅

Sutton is a solid WR. stud implies he's top 20 which he isn't. He has trouble separating but is an excellent 50/50 ball catcher. There will be a TD regression for sure.

On some pretty terrible offenses. Really betting on the fact that Bo Nix & Sean Payton can turn it around. If you like Bo Nix you’re drafting Sutton.

My take on the Aaron Jones and Green Bay situation: they didn't want him because he refused to take a pay cut the third season in a row, not because of his effectiveness

I wanna buy in on Achane so bad but the Vegas betting lines on him are 725 rushing yards and 7 TDs. Amazing player but Mostert has the same betting lines 70 picks later in the draft.
@julienforletta78963 ай бұрын
I don’t even love him and that seems crazy low to me . But Vegas is smart . I think with his size they’re banking on him missing time. That’s not the end of the world tho bc it’s not like your roster spot will be empty if he does
@KingKaiserman3 ай бұрын
Mostert having the same betting lines is very interesting thanks for sharing

@Hayden have you ever done any research on # of expected starts according to position and round drafted? Ex.: QBs drafted in round 5 should make your starting lineup 12/17 weeks, while round 10 QBs should get you 8 starts and round 15 QBs are good for 4 lineup starting weeks. On the other hand, round 5 RBs should get you 10 starts, round 10 RB good for 5 starts, and round 15 RBs should make your starting lineup 2 weeks. (All these numbers are made up, just trying to illustrate what I mean by expected starts according to position and round drafted. Also just talking about bestball format, to be clear.) I guess what I’m trying to get at is finding a benchmark for how good a team needs to be in order to make the playoffs and advance through each subsequent round. Additionally, identifying how the value of different positions fluctuates by round would be really useful in pinpointing the most efficient value pockets on the draft board, and strategizing when to target each position.

I had Sutton 2 yrs ago. Few games I watched, Wilson missed him sooo many times! Once across the middle of the end zone. Lost me the week.Wilson leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

If I asked you to write with your off hand you probably won't do a great job. Sean Payton was trying to turn Russ into a dink and dunk specialist. That's not his game. Strong run play up the middle and long passes outside that's his game.

My concern with the "catchability" stat re: A J Brown is that a receiver's ability to adjust to the ball while it is airborne greatly affects the very subjective term "catchable" ... Devonata Smith won the Heisman Trophy as a WR bcuz his abilities as a receiver are generational... not so with A J

Are there any reliable sources who project defensive rankings? I want to experiment with drafting to optimize ideal matchups, but I’m not sure how to evaluate the different defenses.. just looking for info on 1st-32nd vs QB, RB, WR and TE. I know PFF is generally pretty good, curious to get some opposing/more robust viewpoints as well. Would love to hear some takes about defense and scheduling in these discussions- anybody else?
@kona70433 ай бұрын
Big issue is defense can drastically change year to year due to how good/bad the offense is, the defensive coordinator, defensive player shuffling, how they fit together or with new players etc.. It's difficult to tell sometimes who's actually going to have a good or terrible defense.
@TheClassicalKids3 ай бұрын
@@kona7043 yeah I feel that. That’s why I was hoping to find some discussions from people who understand football far better than I do 😅 offensive changes obviously take the majority of focus for fantasy purposes, so I don’t feel super up to date on all the roster changes defensively, let alone who the best/worst coordinators are. That said, even if the middle ~20 teams are too close to call, there should be enough info to make fairly reliable predictions on the more extreme ends. Just identifying 75% of the top 6 & bottom 6 could yield significant insights for BB. Honestly surprised it’s not an element of the game that’s discussed more often, outside of targeting week 17 matchups.

I think you guys are dead wrong on aaron Jones, JJ Mccarthy is a handoff merchant. Sam Darnold is gonna throw 8 million checkdown passes to aaron jones. Stats don't look good for the vikings usage rate of RBs because they had injury prone mattison, cam akers, and ty chandler as their RBs. Regardless of what KOC wants to do, he's limited by the vice that is the Vikings QB room. Aaron Jones revenge season, signed with arch rival for only 1m more than what the packers asked him to cut his salary to.

He will be great when he actually plays. One of the best, most explosive running backs in the league. And running behind a pretty decent O line. But the dude is never healthy. It’s a 50/50 or worse he will be healthy and playing during the best ball playoffs, maybe even worse than 50/50. He’s definitely going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder, but don’t have much faith he makes it through the season. And I don’t foresee him getting a million checkdowns like you are saying. Ty Chandler will get a lot of run too. They won’t give Jones more than 13-14 Carries per game.
