Yes, it would be a good video if you did “albums everyone hates but I loved”, I’ve seen a couple other solid people like yourself in the record collecting community do those

I’ll vouch for The Secret Life of Plants. I understand why it’s on the list, but it’s a full experience with a story line. Freely psychedelic and earthy.

I'm Shocked Metallica's 'St. Anger' didn't make the list tbh. Or 'Lulu' instead, since Rolling Stone wets themselves over Lou Reed.

Some Time In New York City came out after Imagine and The Plastic No Band albums and those were strong albums, plus Some Time has Yoko singing songs on it which could also be why it’s rated as number 1.

I like Second Coming, it was hard to follow up that debut, but there are great songs on Second Coming, Let Me Up I’ve Had Enough is an underrated album and Tales From Topographic Oceans is, long, bloated, pretentious and also magnificent.
@kitoyobeni1Ай бұрын
Stone Roses had a lot of singles and were an "it" band prior to that second album, which was much more Oasis / classic rock styled than their previous output.
@yellowjackboots2624Ай бұрын
There is a b-sides album called Turns Into Stone. _That_ should have been the second album. Imo they threw away all their great new songs as b-sides.

I love the beach boys they are my favorite group of all time and smiley smile is a great album. To your question: there are two versions of Smile, first one was released in 2004 by Brian Wilson himself, called: Brian Wilson presents Smile. The album had rerecorded songs with his older voice. 2011, the smile sessions were released under the beach boys which has the original recordings, altough we may never get what Brian truly wanted to put out in 1967 we can be grateful to have these two versions.

The Big Day was disappointing because Chance was one of the most sought after and beloved rappers in the country prior to the album releasing, and the album is a 22 track torture chamber. Legit, not a single good song on it.

Muse-Sick-N-Hour-Mess-Age is my fav Public Enemy record. As someone socialized with Punk and Metal - this abum has more Punk and FU DIY Attitude than 90% of all Punk albums i know. Just wanted to mention this cause it hurts me each time that this Album is so Underrated. It was also the Album that brought me into Rap Music. I just bought it accidentally cause with that Artwork i was sure this is gonna be a heavy Punk or Metal Record :D

And then you put the Frampton record next to Type O's horrifyingly pictured but aptly named "Origin Of The Feces" and you got a good laugh for every sour moment. I have to get this one as well, that cover alone is really amazing. One Hot Minute? Yeah... It wasn't all Under The Bridge and stuff. But yeah. Breaking with expectations lead to disappointment with the majority of people - who don't want to get deep but just want a BSSM Pt. 2
@LampostsАй бұрын
I agree about "One Hot Minute". Critics are major hipsters, they latch onto whatevers hot at the moment, then they keep hopping around to whatevers hot, nevermind the artist. Then when said artist releases theyre follow-up critic is already onto new horizons, wait what the fuck is this, this is nothing like theyre last album, this sucks. Then artist goes, why didnt anybody like it? fuck you people, then release something that actually does suck. Perhaps by then said critic is ready for another release by said artist who praises it to the heavens even though its actually not as good as the one before.

I liked Be Here Now and I know lots of fans were disappointed by it because it was a little bloated. I completely understand why Draw The Line is on this list; Aerosmith is a band for whom instant gratification has always been a big deal and there aren't any great singles to love on it.

Have you listened to ANY music? LOL! I'm amazed you've listened to SMILEY SMILE, but not many of the others, as it's one of the more obscure Beach Boys' records. BRIAN WILSON PRESENTS SMILE (2004) is brilliant, even though his voice is obviously not what it would have been in 1967. Maybe you should listen to some of the original SMILE tapes that have been released. They'll show you why SMILEY SMILE was such a letdown.
