This was one of Brad St. Croix's finest presentations. Everyone seemed impressed with his detailed knowledge and research. The maps, paintings and photos were used to complete the story as to almost take us back in time to be there. One trait of a good presenter is how they bring one to want to learn more. I'm sure that many in the sidebar will be looking into many facts presented either online, or through a trip to the bookstore, or the library. I know that I'll be doing so. Thanks to the many great comments and questions from WW2TV and the sidebar warriors.

Can you recommend any good books about the Battle of the Scheldt Brad ?

It is always a joy to see Woody and Brad together brilliantly presenting some WWII history, especially history that I'm unfamiliar with. If my income ever increases, I'd like to become a patron of Brad's channel too. He, like Woody, bends over backwards to get facts right, or as right as historical evidence allows, given complex narratives and situations.😊

Previous this was the major escape route for German 15th Army from Flushing to Woensdrecht, that why it was a RAF target.

Great show as usual! One thought on the lack of a flanking attack. Were there enough Buffalo or were they all being used by the Brits on the other side of the island? I thought the Typhoon attack went completely according to plan. Do no damage but scare them away nevertheless. 😉

The Dutch are masters in defense or offensive polderwarfare and defense systems like floodlands for centuries. The Germans expanded the existing systems exponentional.

When I was much younger I often saw reference to "British troops" landing on Juno Beach. I recently skimmed through a fairly recent history of WWII in Europe by a British author. I could find no reference of any kind to the Canadian army. The reasons for this should be obvious: national arrogance.

@@WW2TV it's my dad's book . He is a retired historian and complained about the book in this regard. I borrowed the book and perused it quickly, and Dad seemed to be correct. I'll see if he still has it. Of course I'll retract if I just misread.
