Progress to downwinding, thats where those skis really come to life...but as you said start wide

I love my plastic sit on top surf ski about 22kg and 5m. It eats the rough water, and it's so stable i don't capsize. I didn't realise i could get a zippy kayak that wouldn't throw me off once the weather picked up. When i look at upgrading to something faster, i will take your advice and focus on something stable and fast. Cheers

Totally agree.. i started with epic v7 and now i paddle the Nelo Viper 46, took me abt 3 years to get there.
