Experience has taught me not to rely on romantic attraction; in fact, it is usually quite fickle. "Beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes to the bone", was a favorite saying of my Grandmother's. Ugly rarely shows up in 5 or 10 minutes. You never REALLY KNOW anyone... *until you live with them*

No way 10 mins is nearly enough time to fall in love and neither is 5 minutes nevermind 60 seconds. We throw people our best in the first 15 minutes but do they really wanna see our best self all the time ? No they will get bored and/or your best will run out and she will eventually see the real you then its a wrap. You need a solid year to see and realize if someone's character is for you.
@iambranden4 жыл бұрын
We can be romantically attracted to someone from just a picture of them. So less than .000001 seconds lol Also, many times after just a few minutes you can become attracted or unattracted to someone you had never felt that way about before
@grandjette4 жыл бұрын
This I Like: Act like yourself. One's intentions speak louder than words. If you're out there to take advantage of the other, that drains all your efforts. If by seeking to attract you simply want to be a good friend, you don't lose anything. The one who dumps you don't even deserve your attention. So you can bring your confidence with you to the next one who really deserves to BE a good friend.

Want real dating advice? 1. Personal hygiene (brush teeth, take bathes daily, etc.) 2. Learn to drive a car at an intermediate to expert level. It is a turn on for women to be a man on a horse except you are a man in a car. This still counts. 3. Learn to book flights and hotel rooms. Women want a man to take charge. 4. Don't live in Mommy's house. It is a massive turn off. She is dating a man, not a little boy. 5. If you have halitosis, grab a mint or two prior to meeting. 6. Don't go dutch. YOU as the man pay 100% of the restaurants. 7. Be the knight in shining armor. Let me know if you have any questions.

You know, it can be really hard being yourself when it changes so much for example, sometimes i don't even know if im putting up an act or actually being me. And of course, since I've been myself so rarely, i never had a faint impression about what i really am. It really just happens sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. Most likely because of my often nervousness, however. However. If i know that they will forget about me shortly, is there really a need to fake it? Being yourself can be such a dilemma to people, such as me. As i myself adapt a lot, and i mean a lot. And also avoid conflicts or any risks. Perhaps it's also because i agree with almost anyone a little too easy. But who cares, i myself also suck at instant confidence. Honestly a lot of people do. And it's all because of all the nervousness and unknown.

I remember reaching out to touch him on the shoulder moments after sitting down to talk and my teen was in the room at the time. I just had to reach out! I have totally messed things up. He is so depressed and still mourning the death of his last wife. The entire thing looks so impossible. Everything that could go bad has gone badly. But, even talking to him on the phone before we met I knew I wanted to spend more time together. Unfortunately, he has point blank said THIS IS NOT HAPPENING! I think that is such a stupid thing to say because how can you predict something like that if your feelings matter to you, and not someone’s resume. I mean, honestly, it seems so arbitrary to prematurely make a decision unless you are just flat coming from fear! I mean they have admitted they are in fear over a different situation, and I think I’m just unfairly being tossed into that same bath water that he is tossing out. I don’t mean to seem pompous but I have lived a few decades and I am no stranger to interacting with fearful people, but the problem ultimately remains that if he cannot resolve his fear issues then I really don’t want him!
