This is a wonderful video and the first I heard about the congressional gold metal being passed by congress. No one has contacted my Aunt to receive her metal. I am caregiver to my aunt SGT. Hilda Griggs who was a part of the 6888th Postal Directory Battalion. She will turn 98 on August 6th. She was 21 when she enlisted in PA although she was a NJ resident at the time. She is the last of 8 children, including my father. All brothers were in the military during WWII and my Father survived D-Day - thank God. I thank them all and every soldier for their service!

I'm sure they'd still be making a doc if it was all white women or men 🙄 God forbid you tell a story of the actual people who put thier lives on the line

In theatre during war, espeecially during ww2 nothing and I mean nothing was more important for morale than mail from home, in fact mail from home was a matter of dying or living to most if not all GIs. This unit the 6888 served as true angles and heroes, aving countless lives and helepd win countless balltes by making dure the GI reviced mail from home. HEROES true HEROES all of them. Stay Strong, Go on and Never QUIT !!!

*Six Triple Eight* the film - Starts filming in my city *Bradford* the world's first *UNESCO City of Film* on the 16th of February 2023, with preparations starting in *Little Germany* today. Not sure why they need 25 days to prepare, as other productions which are just as big, if not bigger, and have also filmed in *Little Germany, Bradford* have all done their preparations (set building, set decorating, set designing etc) on the day as far as I know, plus they won't be able to close an entire neighbourhood of businesses and homes from the public for 25 days either.

I question the 6 month estimate and 3 month processing of the mail. Other sources state that the backlog of mail was estimated to take 2 years to process, but that the 6888 completed the task in six months. Stating that the estimation was 6 months and that the task was completed in 3 takes away from the tremendous effort and extraordinary competence and accomplishment of this amazing group of women.

I appreciate them and all but there are many more who did much more. I'm not apossed to them telling the story but it's painful how clear the reasons why they chose to pick this particular story.

We all understand that serving in our military and especially serving in WWII is heroic and all veterans SHOULD have light shined upon them...this movie trailer is disingenuous because it leads you to believe these women fought heroically in combat when in fact they worked in the postal service of the United States Army. The Army was having difficulties getting Mail to our troops. Moral was at an all-time low and to remedy the problem the Army formed the 6888th Postal Battalion. They did break many records sorting mail and did play a pivotal role in boosting moral back to our men in the field. So before you watch this movie, don't get your hopes up thinking we sent women into combat and this story is just now being told. #TheMoreYouKnow #ThankYouForYourService
