Since these are made here in MN, I really wish they’d bring some of these to market here, particularly the Munson Ranger and the Klondike Beckman Flatbox. The Munson last would be welcome on every model for the additional comfort.

It's so hard to get the Japanese boots where I live. So jealous you can go to a store in NY and get the Japanese stuff. i saw someone selling the Munson Ranger, and in my size 10.5D 🤩 but it looks pretty used and overseas shipping are pretty crazy nowadays, so I might search in Japan once the travel ban is over

I worked at red wing, and can tell you that the Japanese RW consumers are incredibly quality focused - they send back so many shoes that would be considered “first” quality in the US lol 😂

I have a pair of RW 9185 Wabasha Copper Rough & Tough (intended for Japanese market). They were made in 2012 for a limited run, they are very unusual for RW and look very cool. 🙃

really really really wish the "munson" last or similar, "anatomical" shaped lasts were more common in work and heritage footwear. it's absurd that so many of these great boots we have these days, designed to be worked in and abused, but they completely fuck up your feet because they're still shaped like the shoes of a french nobleman from 200 years ago. IRs are okay but the Moc Toes are egregiously narrow in the toes to the point that they can cause bunions and foot damage over time.
