I would have added "the God that Failed" for the intro alone. The rest of the song grooves so hard, too. "Human", "Devil's Dance", and tons of other songs on Load/Reload era. I'm glad you included the catchiest riff of all time, though: And Justice's main riff.

There's a ton but I really love any groove you find in.. My Friend Of Misery

My favourite grooves are all directly after the guitar solo. A personal favourite dynamic Metallica used to use was to finish a solo with a divebomb into a groove, think blackened and ...and justice for all. I wrote a song in the style of 80s metallica and the post solo groove...love it!

Good list..MY fav groove is in DONT TREAD ON ME after the solo in the middle of the song where james gives a slight " rrrrrump" then the crunchy heaviness that proceeds always gets me to nod yes for a few..or head bang if u will lol

I love the groove in Moth Into Flame. Especially in the main riff part.

Pretty good bro! What made Sad But True sound so heavy was not just the 4 amps he recorded on and then re.....recorded over and over again putting them all together but playing in the tune of D Standard helped give it that bang!

The breakdown of the four horsemen, the main riff to seek and destroy, the galloping of fade to black, just after the second chorus of trapped under ice, the ending of sanitarium, master of puppets during the end of the breakdown, the chorus to disposable heroes, the main riff to Orion, leper messiah and the thing that should not be, the breakdown to damage inc, the clean part of one mid intro, the build into the main riff of blackened after the breakdown, the bridge in dyers eve, harvester of sorrow, the bridge of the frayed ends of sanity, the eye of beholder, sad but true, holier than thou, the bass in the god that failed and my friend of misery, the main riff to wherever I may roam, and I can’t be stuffed doing the rest

The low string chugging is what makes a metal song cool. Metallica is very big on it which makes them among the best. Very few bands have 2 great guitarists. They not only shred great, they are also great on the slower parts of songs. Straight up talent!
