What about shubunkin? I have a lot in my pond, together with common carp & crossings !!. They are graceful and tough, specially for low temperatures.

Any recommendations on fish between 10-20cm (roughly 4-8 inches) that can live in a pond just under 500L (roughly 130 US Gallons) & 22-26°C (roughly 71-79°F) if the pond also doubles as a splash pool during summer? Besides goldfish, as our other pond already has them, we are hoping to have luck with a nice catfish specie?

Not all goldfish were created the same. Fancy tail gold fish need it between 68-74°F, while comets need it between 60-70°F. I'd advise people do their research first.

Mosquito fish are so hardy they're almost annoying. You start with 10 & you'll have hundreds in no time
