Also, while education loan processing, banks are asking applicants to fill up General Power of Attorney form. My question is why do banks ask for this document? And, Is mandatory to provide this to the banks?

Hi Akash! It is not possible to change your repayment tenure once you have disbursed your loan amount. However, if you have multiple DPDs then the bank may call you for a loan Restructure.
