The credit for these "Seven Deadly Sins" went to Tertulian (a century and a half after Mary's time). He was the original plagiarist of Mary's work, of which he most likely read a copy in those days. Later Pope Gregary 1 would grab some notoriety, 600 years later, and naturally leave Mary's credit in the ashes of her gospel. Furthermore, the "Christian" church flipped the story to read that Mary was possessed by supernatural demons and Jesus saved the day. In truth, Mary mastered these vices, which was the message Jesus was trying to convey. Only by mastering these vices can one attain Christ Consciousness. In all fairness, the great yogis had practiced this art for thousands of years before Mary. The culture back then was not perfect to bring Christ Consciousness to the average person, but it is now. Avoiding the 7 foibles of human existence and generating the greatest good from our daily visions during meditation is the formulae to open the next age. Will everyone do this? Naturally, no, but it only takes a few and that might be you.

Yes, very interesting that the gospel of Luke tells us that Mary had seven demons cast out of her, so they weren't trying to hide this spiritual mastery completely in the scriptures. Such a shame that the message of "sins" and prostitution was pushed by the church instead.

“You saw me, but you didn’t recognize me, because you mistook me for the garment that I wore for my true self” So powerful and true. Love this statement. Over the years in my recovery from drug addiction, just steadily doing the work, doing the research and developing a practice and a true comprehension of the spiritual teachings, I learned humility. This statement about ignorance in the minds and hearts of people (my words) as well as my own denial and ignorance after my self and worldly awareness, Especially Now after the evil of the world trying to force me (US) to take a drug to be “healthy”, and the world gone mad, the humility has become even more impactful to practice as a strength to an even greater extent than what I used it to my own understanding and ability back in 2019. I’m still even more of who I truly am today but many who have not been doing recovery work for as long as I have now, fell right into the trap that is the current reality in the minds and hearts of the ignorant. There’s two ways to look at this. One way is that those with eyes just cannot see, to any extent, because they are blind, deaf and dumb. The second way is as I have chopped wood and carried water before I am still chopping wood and carrying water now, so it appears as if I have not changed from the outside, although if you look at my actions over the courses of the last 17 years anyone with eyes a mind and a heart that are open can see that my actions have spoken an entirely new language, from the 26 years prior, but is in denial and ignorance about my actions. It is only for those with eyes who can see those with ears who can hear and those with lips who can speak, the rest are in oblivion, taking up the position of the displaced sense of self entitlement. I’ve learned that pretentiousness is certainly not dignity because dignity requires humility and the recognition that defines healthy relationships.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is very true that dignity requires humility, and sad that so many struggle with having humility. I think some confuse it with humiliation 😄 Still, we keep chopping and carrying and hope that those who are asleep to their own inner beauty wake up.

@ Yeah that’s a relevant comparison. Humility is a painful process to learn, when our egos are wrapped tightly around anything false that we identify with. I learned what humility I have from a life of trauma and loss, destructive behaviors and addiction. It’s certainly humiliating facing and admitting to my own traumas; those that have been inflicted upon me and my own behaviors inflicted upon others, both. The truth is all 4; good, bad, beautiful and ugly, in regard to facing it and admitting to the falseness and truth of who we are. If you can’t identify it, you can’t rid yourself of it. In recovery there is a process and it’s in order. First it’s acceptance of the grief, then we are free to surrender after facing the ugliness. Anything less is denial and ignorance and lack of humility. There’s much to say about this…

I don't think anyone should follow someone else's shadow work. We are unique beings and everyone has their own inner deamons we need to manage. Every person should make their own list of shadows to work with, a personal list of powers to achieve.
