So we do know, we just don't know the LIMIT to it.

Well it’s not official but that’s a good estimate, the original demon had a power level that was at least 300,000 and king was fighting him at long range, so king was at a disadvantaged. And he already fought mael, so his magic power was drained. He also beat up mael who had a power level over 200,000. Finally, when king launched his sunflower lazar attack at the original demon zeldris had to cancel it out, so king’s attack was so strong zeldris thought the original demon would be killed or seriously harmed. King is pretty strong I would say he is number 3 stronger than everyone even full power escanor, but weaker than post-purgatory ban and meliodas.

Meliodas couldn't even cause him severe damage and Ban as well so why should Escanor be able to? Escanor is not stronger than he was before... The only reason he is still conscious, is because off his will-power which keeps him from not collapsing and keeping on fighting. The amount of blood he lost is about similar to when he fought Meliodas assault mode and Meliodas cut him to pieces, so only his "The one" is keeping him from fainting at the moment... First off all, he didnt "solo" the demon-king... There were Ban, Merlin, King and Diane who fought as well... At the same time The demon-king gave Escanor some severe wounds on his whole body, which won't heal, because Escanor is just human... And to top it off, Escanor himself said "There is nothing i can do against a monster like this..." in the same chapter... Last but not least: No Escanor did definitely not restrain his powers, he is using "The One" which is the abolute maximum he is able to reach... Stop talking bullshit please, even though this will be hard because you're a fanatic Escanor Fanboy/girl I may have actually exagerated, when I said he is "useless" but he can't do anything more than Meliodas and the other sins already did... He is just buying time, so Meliodas can free Zeldris

The strongest character is Arthur since he became the king of chaos and chaos is the being that created everything in the Nanatsu no Taizai world, even the Demon King, Supreme Deity and the Holy Tree, aswell as the 6 Races. With the power of Chaos, Arthur is basically the most Overpowered character in the story, whether we like it or not.

Sure, Escanor was said to be the strongest, but this was during a time where Meliodas and King were not at their full potential. Drole litterally says that Meliodas could have overthrown the Demon King. And Gloxinia says that King can become the strongest Fairy King in history. They litterally DESERVE to be the strongest Sins. Ban tho? Eh, not so much. He's always kicked ass, so it's a bit anti-climatic that all he did was... kick more ass.
