Good stuff...and her prismacolor pdf catalogue makes finding the pencils associated with a palette a breeze (think she has pdf references for other brands as well) And by way of feedback: really like your approach/philosophy on coloring. Resonates.

You are making it hard for me not to get the cubes! 😅❤

Sorry about that. I literally timed myself to see how long it took me to find and decide on a color pallette. Aftter waiting 3 months I finally did it. It helps when I am doing coloring challenges as I can get different color palettes and set aside the art supplies with each color palette set.

As an organized graphic designer, quilter and artist, I totally appreciate your tips. I still use physical paper color swatches as I find them incredibly useful so I just ordered my cube combo. I can’t wait to use them in my quilting projects, procreate digital art and paint selections. Thank you 😊

Wonderful, what other products do you suggest similar to this one?

Love this idea 💡 I have had my colour cubes from day 1 when they first came out love that don't have to think.

Yes, and the amount of time saved on colors is great

Thankyou for making this video. I. Oughtthe online version and I admit I hardly use it . I love the fact there are other colors on the back of each card! Didn't know that! I was debating printing it all out. but in the long run it would probably cost me just as much if i wanted to print them out with good ink and paper. Not to mention they would probably fade over time and handling them printed out would end up a country mess over time! Lol I Def am going to get the cubes now! Again thanks bunches! Im newbie to adult coloring so I need all the inspiration I can get!

I did the same thing. Thought about my little old printer doing the printouts and how the colors wouldnt be the same. I do like the different colors on the back that are similar too. I sometimes grab 2 or 3 of those additional family colors for a palette for shading and highlights. But so far I have enjoyed using them. My main problem is I like specific colors.. so if there isnt a purple or bluish purple for instance .. I add that... It is my one true weakness. Lol

Do you have to be a cubist artist to use them?

Hah, I guess you should be a cubist artist. :)

How do you decide on what one card will work and how you decide to use two cards in your pictures?
@JodyMoments9 ай бұрын
The way I like to do it is, the colors I know I need on the coloring page and some colors I also know I can mix to make them then I also consider my favorite colors. For instance, if I see people on a coloring page I will grab peach, pink, cream and browns for their skin and shadows. If I see trees or foliage I know I want some greens and browns but I like more teal or emerald greens so I select those colors in cards or if I don't those colors I layer a dark blue with my green colors to make them If I see a page that has flowers, I will select my favorite warm colors like dark golden yellow, coral, magenta and purples or deep dark reds. But basically it is a mix of both basic colors I will need then I mix that with my favorite colors. So if you want to try this out think of your fav colors and then basic colors you need. Hope that helps a bit. I am relearning color theory but if you check around there are color wheels available online to refer and those colors do define the way we humans are attracted to colors too.

How. Do you use. two color 🎉 cards that will match the colors correctly on your layout?🎉❤
@JodyMoments10 ай бұрын
I select 2 cards based on my favorite colors, but sometimes I know a page will need some neutral colors for nature scenes, portrait skin tones and whatnot so white grey, black, browns, creams, yellows, and coral tones help with the neutral side. But I know there must be a science around it by using a color wheel. Great question it makes me want to be more mindful about why I am selecting certain colors together. If I can find enough research about my methods I'll be sure to make a video about it. :)

EU buyer beware. Despite the Color Cube site saying stock is available in the EU, it isn't. Shipping is from the UK so hefty customs charges will be payable. Supplier will be unsympathetic as it's your error for 'misunderstanding'.

That's good to know for my friends in Europe. Thanks for sharing this update.
