The $7 Titan Offset Striking Scraper Pry Bar caught my eye at the hardware store. Looks like a solid stainless steel striking tool made in Taiwan with steel from Japan.
I paid less than $7, but Amazon has it for around $9. Either way, it is a solid performer especially compared to some others in a whole different price category. I can suggest this with zero hesitations.

The product image on Amazon shows a cutaway of the handle, revealing what appears to be a full tang tool.

Nice video Doc, Titan makes a decent tool for a very low price also thanks for putting links in the description! Do you think those snap on striking scrapers would be good for splitting engine cases?

You really should check out the Titan 11313 and 11318 1/4 micro drive, swivel head, 90 tooth ratchet, and bit driver. They are quite nice!

Probably the inference between the metal cap and the tang of the scrappers it's just a little bit of plastic, maybe it's just a little bit of burs there, I'm certainly that if you started hammering that it's going to become connect!

I use scrapers a lot, often for something other than their intended purpose. Don't have one of these, so I'm in.

I think these would be good to help break up corrosion on battery cases !! I have one of those snapon scrapers. I found a broken one in the trash and my dealer gave me a new one. Might be something to compare it to. Which hardware store ?
