I LOVE the vanilla woods. It would have to be my number 1 favourite perfume. Usually it’s hard to pick a Fave for anything but it’s that good!

I noticed how dark the liquid is in your Vanilla Woods perfume bottle. Mine is a much lighter color content in the bottle compare to yours. And my lid is different than yours too. The bottle you have has a wooden kind of lid. But mine is a metal one. I have another perfume from The 7 Virtues. And that one has a similar wooden kind of lid. So I wonder if I got a newer version of Vanilla Woods? Recently, I've seen people complaining about the Vanilla Woods not being able to last. My Vanilla Woods lasts just okay. But I do notice it faints so quickly. Also, the quality of the make of the spray seem to have become worse. The other perfume I purchased previously from The 7 Virtues had a very nice spray that sprays out nice and evenly misty. But the more recent purchase, which is the Vanilla Woods I got has a spray that sprays out not as nicely. I just hope the company The 7 Virtues can keep up with the quality of their perfume since I do really like their values and what they care about-make perfume not war.

I just wanna make sure I communicated the correct idea-the maybe newer version of Vanilla Woods I purchased is still very good. I really like it. It just doesn't last as long as I hope it can. And the spray applicator is, to be honest, a lot worse than the other perfume I bought earlier from The 7 Virtues. I also have bought the Mini Pease Blend Perfume Set. I compared my full size Vanilla Woods with the mini/sample size one-the color is so different. The mini/sample sized color looks a lot closer to what you have in this video. But the full size color is very very light. I'm not sure what is going on. But I still like The 7 Virtues a lot.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. So I haven’t seen a metal lid. I’m in Ontario canada and it’s always been a wood cap, even online it still shows a wooden lid. As for the colour it has changed colours as it is a natural perfume I can see oxidation happening so it won’t last as long as others. The scent lasts on me all day, haven’t had any longevity issues.

have you tried their perfume oil? seems its only available from the 7V site; have you tried Atelier Cologne? If so, have fav? FYI, I got a card with Vanilla Woods and Atelier's Orange and they smell very good together. I am headed to Sephora asap to physically mix them on me. If it smells on me as the cards together then this makes a beautiful spring/summer scent and Vanilla Woods alone for fall/winter, just FYI :) I am DONE with all the Chanels, Creeds, Jo Malone, LeLabo, Bacccarat and the like (they all not for me anymore), these clean fragrances are the future and I really enjoy them.

It’s actually available on Sephora Canada in 3 of the scents including Santals vanille, vanilla woods and blackberry lily. In terms of atelier I have the vanille insensee it’s beautiful a more deep sexy vanilla. I also love orange sanguine and pacific lime. I’m dying to smell lemon island. Orange sanguine is really fresh!!’

Wondering what the differences are in terms of notes, longevity, etc. Sometimes notes ring different in oils so you get a slightly varied smell. I've only tried the atelier orange and vanilla. I didn't care for vanilla. I too am interested in the lemon, in hopes my Sephora will have to test. Thank you again, have a blessed day

I have a couple “Santal” scents ( looking for a dupe for Santal 33) Would you be able to do a comparison video between Santal Vanille, Maison Louis Marie No. 4 and Clean Reserve Santal Sel ( bonus if you have Santal 33?)

I have all of these ( yes am obsessed with Sandalwood - Santall 33 is very similar to Santal Vanille but SV has a lovely smoothness from the coconut that makes it less sharp to me. No 4 is nice, similar to 33 but much more vanilla, and Reserve SS is not similar at all, more masculine and no vanilla on me. I gave it to my husband as I didn't really like it ( or need it lol). My favorite is Santal Vanille. Happy Shopping!!

Thank you for comparing these two, I love your energy! I'm not sure why I only sniffed the Santal one and forgot to check out Vanilla Woods, I'll have to do that next time I go. I like sandalwood so I expected I'd be liking that one better anyway. Have you ever had a problem with your body chemistry changing a scent after hours on your skin? I just bought something last week. Everything was fine after 2 hours and then in the third hour, something massively changed and it went gross. I was heartbroken.

Aw thank you!!! I’m quite the energetic one haha 😆 omg you must go back and smell it you will 100% love vanilla woods more I’m almost POSITIVE. I had 3 ppl buy the scent when I wore it to work and their OBSESSED with it! I don’t think I’ve had that happen to me although I did have a perfume smell completely different from having a sample to buying the actual perfume. What perfume changed up on you?

@@meltingmemoriesco it was Not a Perfume by Juliette Has a Gun. I'm relatively new to perfumery (long story but my mom is really sensitive to smell and doesn't wear perfume, so I had no experience as a kid with it) so I thought if I went to Sephora and tested a bunch of fragrances and picked one that I liked in store and after letting it sit there in the store for a while and still liked it, I was good to go. What did you think of this in the rollerball versus a spray? From various places I've read, a lot of people give props to natural fragrances if you're sensitive, and Juliette Has a Gun is a synthetic Woody musk.

So I do think this is an extremely clean scent. Unless someone doesn’t like essential oils which it uses I think this should be fine. It’s by far my favourite perfume out of my collection of 20

@@meltingmemoriesco so I went to the mall yesterday and tried both of the vanillas again. I'm not sure what happened but I didn't like the Santal one as much as I did before. Vanilla Woods is definitely not for me, I need a bit more oomph. Confusingly, they had Blackberry Lily on the display next to the two vanillas and I liked that one better. 😆

I loved vanilla santalle or however you spell it .. AT FIRST SPRAY… however after a few minutes ot got sooo Strong I got the Myrrh and this was so heavy and heady for me I felt like I was going dizzy at times… I also smelled the black berry one and I loved it it was sweet yet the tartness of the berry cut through the sweetness and made it slightly fresh yet sweet and Gourmand … it was less heavy and thick compared to the vanilla Santal BUT seemed Weaker as in staying power

I loved the blackberry one more than the santal. But NOTHING tops vanilla woods. It’s my favourite perfume of all time. I have faves but nothing compares to it.

Do you think santal vanille smells like philosophy fresh cream warm cashmere (if you have smelled that perfume of course)? I really want to find a dupe for that perfume since it doesn't last long but smells heavenly😌

I don’t think so. I have both. If anything Santal reminds me of Adults by Kilian. I have that one too. I do agree that santal leans fall so I willl be mixing it under brighter fragrances for now.
