Our whole universe was in a hot dense state, Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait... The Earth began to cool, The autotrophs began to drool, Neanderthals developed tools, We built a wall (we built the pyramids), Math, science, history, unraveling the mystery, That all started with the big bang (bang)!

Since the dawn of man is really not that long as every galaxy was formed in less time than it takes to sing this song a fraction of a second and the elements were made, the bipeds stood up straight the dinosaurs all met their fate they tried to leap but they were late and they all died (they froze their a**es off) the oceans and Pangea see ya wouldn't wanna be ya set in motion by the same Big Bang It all started with the Big Bang It's expanding ever outwards but one day it will pause and start to go the other way collapsing ever inwards we won't be here it won't be heard, our best and brightest figure that it'll make an even bigger bang! Austrolapithicus would really have been sick of us debating how we're here they're catching deer (we're catching viruses) religion or astronomy (encarta deutoronomy) it all started with the Big Bang, music and mythology (Einstein and astrology) it all started with the Big Bang. It all started with the big... BANG! Wow... I just wrote that out by hand and completely from memory. I have no life but I love it XD

If anyone is interested, of the 71 items listed the number of things invented/discovered/first used where from: 17 - United Kingdom (13 of which are from England, 4 from Scotland, 0 N. Ireland and Wales) 13 - United States 8 - Germany 6 - Mesopotamia (google it) 5 - Egypt 4 - China 3 - Greece 3 - Italy 3 - The Netherlands 2 - Soviet Union 2 - India 1 - Israel 1 - Poland 1 - Denmark 1 - France 1 - Austria When going though this it was very interesting the phases in which parts of the world made discoveries. At the start it was all China and Mesopotima, then Greece and Egypt followed by India then Western Europe hit hard with the UK dominating at times. At the end it was really just US with a sprinkle of Soviet Union and UK. I already know I have too much free time.

It always surprises me when people say the world is getting worse. It's not. It's getting better than any time in human history. That is NOT saying there isn't any chaos, death, war and violence. Always been that way. But this is the greatest time in human history because the world is now globalized and connected.

It would stop all the fighting for oil worldwide and push us to develop green and renewable sources without any excuse of 'a better alternative'. It would also stop the ridiculous and disproportionate money and power flow to corrupt and misguided elites, dictators and monarchs ruling many of such oil rich countries

Great video guys! I found your channel while procrastinating, and I have to say, I love the stuff you make. However, one thing caught my attention. These are all great and life-changing inventions, but they are all (which of course is not a problem) dated pre the 21th century. Maybe you should do a video on the innovations made/discovered in the 21th century. Cheers, Eric

@dragofand 7 жыл бұрын
Rebecca White AD stands specifically for Anno Domini for In the Year of the lord. CE stands for Common Era, they both convey the same meaning, dividing time but many people prefer to use CE (and BCE for Before Common Era) instead of BC and AD due to the Christian connotation behind it. Of course there are other reasons people prefer to use CE and BCE but the reason stated above is a big one as far as I know.

houdini2233 Your nicely wrapped phrase just happens to be completely ignorant of the military strategy behind it. The nuclear bombing of japan was to end the war sooner and with far fewer civilian and military casualties than a full-on invasion of the mainland. A terrorist attack on civilians is a guerrilla tactic meant to prolong a conflict until the opposing side decides that it is too much trouble to continue and concedes. One ended a war in 6 days, the other drags on a conflict that has lasted for almost 30 years.

Religion didn't slow down human development. Religion is a basic component of human behavior, if humans didnt have religion they wouldnt be the creatures they are and they wouldnt have done any of what they have done. I am an atheist, but for billions, religion provides a channel for spirituality, community, charity, education. The churches of East Germany, Poland, and Ukraine were instrumental in overthrowing their communist dictatorships. Religion has done much to damage the world, but it is an inherent part of humanity's story. Without religion, billions of humans wouldn't have the tools they need for us all to survive and prosper. The answer isn't to abolish religion, but to improve it. To study the elements of human religion and why humans practice them. When you break down what makes a religion attractive- what it's giving people that they need, you can more effectively tune that religion to be as productive as possible, and to minimize extremism and intolerance as much as possible. Those things will NEVER, EVER be eliminated, as they are innate to civilization itself, but they can be reduced.

Technically, internet is not an invention, it is something that emerged. Basically, it's individual public servers, where you can receive and send bytes with computer via ISP, not too different from telephone system. If there was only one server, there would be only one web page in existence. The illusion of the "web" becomes from graphic user interfaces and web search engines (analogue to phone book).

So what? Edison made the lightbulb efficient and made it accessible to everyone. You wouldn't have lights right now if it weren't for him. I don't know why people hate on him so much for making money from his inventions. Business is built on competition which is the main driving force for innovation. Without it, we would just have scientific discoveries that no one can actually use.
