Thanks for the great overview! I really really liked the concept of 7th Continent but when I finally got the game it was one of the biggest disappointments ive ever had in boardgaming. That being said, you could see the glimpses of game mechanics that could make for a really awesome adventure game. Im hoping that 7th Citadel addresses these concerns and will probably back it.

Great review and playthrough. What happens when you die in this one? Do you still have to restart the entire chapter/scenario from the start?

This is an EXCELLENT question, and one I don’t think has been answered yet. My hope is that you only go back to the start of your current chapter. And quite honestly, if that ISN’T the rule, I’ll house rule it to work that way anyway ;)

@@OneStopCoopShop Yeah let's hope they answer that! One of the reasons I sold Continent was that I got to a point that I was ignoring so many rules for convenience that I thought "hm maybe this game isn't for me".

With you entirely! I was like “whoops, I died and will have to repeat 20 hours of gameplay.... I just made up a rule that I get all my cards back” ;)

Just following up...read the rulebook on kickstarter and it says regarding "Unconsciousness". "When a player falls unconscious, they must immediately save their character and remove their figure from the Board. The player will have to wait until an in-game effect causes them to no longer be unconscious (which will tell them how many life points they regain) to take back their cards and place their figure back onto the Board (worst case, this will happen when the players return to the Citadel). If all players are unconscious, the game ends immediately and the players lose." So I guess if you're playing solo and you die, you really die.

But we still don’t know for sure whether “you die” means go back to the beginning or just restart the chapter, right?

Too bad they dont have a small PnP adventure like they had in the 7th Continent to give new players a feel for the game and veterans to get a feel for the new world...maybe it will come later in the Kickstarter

I think if they were able to put out the intro scenario I played in my other video would be a great little mini adventure for a PVP. And since it's already captured in video form by multiple channels, they wouldn't be giving too much away :)

@@OneStopCoopShop I backed before even seeing the date. I was just too hyped for it. Then I saw the date. A little bittersweet moment. That's a crazy timeline, but we can't do much except finishing every single curses of 7th Continent until then !
