Hi. The big idea design utility knife has quick blade change. You don’t need to remove the plate. The tab that’s at the top where the blade is, you push it to the right slightly and the blade comes out to replace. It’s the same mechanism as with their original TPT slide. Hope that helps.

I have tried many utilty knives, being the milwaukee fastback as my fave but when I tried the ugly looking Stanley classic that changes my view. It is the most stable, confortable to handle and its weight and size just feels right. I have the Stanley twin blade but the classic is the best if you just need a utility knife and don't care about aesthetic.

I've had a Gerber Prybrid for a few years now and it's a great EDC. The only things I've run into are that the blade can come loose with enough resistance, and the lack of clip can be an inconvenience at times, but it's a solid tool with some great additional features.

I have the TPT slide and I'd love to get rid of mine, I'd gladly trade it for a TPT, the slide deploy makes blade swapping GARBAGE, of course it didn't help that immediately after the slide getting to me the magnet inside the show scale fell out and wouldn't let the razor retract all the way in until I disassembled the piece and figured out the issue. Still hate it, blade swaps still AWFUL, I'd so gladly take a TPT and dump this turd lol

The TiRant RAZOR V3 Utility Knife looks good. At the price though I really don't need another variant. Although I have one from CountyComm that I like, the one that gets the most pocket time with me is the Olight Otacle U1 Carbon Fiber Small Folding Tool for $25 and 2.2oz with bar or rail lock.

I have worn out a few Stanley 99 slide openers. I'd consider that its only flaw. Same thing happens with the hardware store house brands. I switched to the Milwaukee Fastback after a while.

This list is so heavily skewed towards Stanley and other bulky offerings. It's absolutely garbage without the inclusion of the OG the Rexford RUT, the amazing TiRant Razor and Razor-M, the well designed Big Idea Design TPT or TPT Slide, the sleeper pick Turnback Knife TBK, or even the Milwaukee 6-in-1 Fastback with 1/4" driver. Other notable ones that i don't personally own, but are nonetheless intriguing would be the Tactical Keychain TUK, Gil-Tek RUK, MilSpin Magnus, and some of the Chinese designs like the Rovyvon, Olight, and Tenchilon offerings.

@tobyhall13992 ай бұрын
@dean7730 You can't call it a list of "the best" if you limit the price. Maybe change the title to the best budget edc utility knives and make a new video with the actual premium, "the best" utility knives on the market. Also, you can't call 100$ too expensive, when you have a 175$ knife on the list.

I have a Stanley here in front of me. It's all rusted out on the inside meanwhile the utility knife itself was just sitting in a toolbox for 20 years, lost. Untouched. It's completely original and yet it's completely rusted out, doesn't work, blades are rusted and the slider is rusted, can't even get it to slide when it's taken apart.

It's honestly expensive and unnecessary but I'm picking up an aerocrafted sideslip. The simple and minimal design does it for me. It's almost overdesigned how simply designed it is.
