Kevin, that was one of your best lessons! Your pacing is perfect. The technical progression for beginners is well thought out. You share helpful insights without overwhelming learners. You know your audience, unlike other tutorials that try to be everything to everyone. You explain the how and the why. Focused, friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. I'm now committed to learning and practicing with you for at least an hour each day. Thank you very much!

Hey Kevin I just got a used acoustic guitar and I plan on looking back at your original videos to take notes and to learn the fundamentals. One song I was looking to request is the intro from the song handlebars by flobots. It's such a calm melody and I am wondering if it could be easy to learn that way when I am done with the beginning tutorial I would like to jump into that 🙂 thank you for the content!

Hey there! Thanks for checking things out and that sounds like a great plan. You should definitely check out my starter playlist. I will add that song to the request list. It would be a good song to learn some individual string picking.

I have a random question. I was helping a lefty learn, and it dawned on me. Why do fret with our non dominant hand? Would it make more sense the fretting hand be the dominant more technical hand. It was just a random revelation i had. Wondered if the guitar creator was in fact a lefty and righties just followed. Cheers, love your lessons.

Good question. Although doing that now seems so strange lol. Thanks for watching and your support!

Picking?
@edwardpuddy86622 жыл бұрын
There is more to strumming the strings than you think. Cords are easy to learn. There are just as many strum patterns to know as it is cords if not more. You got finger picking and picking with a pick knowing where the string is you need to pick learning guitar is not as easy as it looks.
@Relaxandlearnguitar2 жыл бұрын
@@edwardpuddy8662 it’s definitely a process. I usually suggest learning some chords to start with and then learning some strum patterns for this chords within a song.
@edwardpuddy86622 жыл бұрын
@@Relaxandlearnguitar learning to strum is just as hard as learning cords. You can make music by just strumming without it you got no sound
