Lucky, Radiohead. Best simple solo I ever heard. Especially the pre bend on the highest note. Part of what makes it so great is that the electric guitar have been so gnarly and unruely in the moment leading up to the solo so it's like a moment of clarity and, in the songs context, something lamenting. Like accepting something deeply saddening with all it's pain, and at the same time feel relief.Pure cathartic.

This should be called the "More is less" list. And a great concept for any player!

What you said about the nothing else matters solo is something I learned while trying to learn that solo. Every video I watched played it a little different. I took a little bit of each and play it my own way and it works.

I'm not the biggest Queensryche fan, but Silent Lucidity is certainly up there with simple but extremely effective.

Nothing Else Matters solo; the most satisfying thing to play on guitar. Imo it's the most beautiful yet simple solo

Let it Be is one of my favorite solos and it's about as simple as it gets.

I will say Supersonic and Don't look back in Anger by Oasis Noel's solo maybe simple that you say say he is overrated , but they really suit the song so well and people can sing along to it. P.S. for champagne supernova I won't say it is easy to get into the vibe so I don't include it on here

@@kottbullefras123 yeah yet "under the bridge" is one of the harder RHCP songs because of the little nuances and that doesn't have a solo haha. snow is kinda hard too.

Kurts solo in their version of The Man Who Sold The World is a great 'simple' solo. It gives me goose bumps.

Waylon Jennings. Live at Mr. Luckys 1980. "This Time". So simple, yet it grabs me.

"Keep on Lovin' You" by REO Speedwagon. I suck at guitar and I figured it out (more or less) in one evening, so it's easy. REO Speedwagon was one of the most influential rock/pop bands of the 80s and it was largely due to this song. This solo contains the perfect amount of bends, slides, hammer ons and pull offs, and even has a tasty pick scrape too.

A Maxwell's Silver Hammer guitar break after second verse also works as a nice little solo, and it's quite easy, i love playing it from time to time
