How does this compare to the new Godox compact and retro designs?

They nailed the design on this thing, I really like the diagram at the back. I started following keks since their first light meter, they are a brand that really cares about the film community, I don’t see many other brands putting exposure table and pc sync port on their flash.

I've got he of the old Keks KM02's and use it constantly, paired with my Bronica SQ-A.. They make amazing products.

I would offer up the LightPix Labs Q20 II as another option, as it has more features / settings, is detachable from its bsse and is wireless when detached from the base .. Not bad for £114. PS: I love the KEKS products .. I have the 002 light meter.

Probably going to still give it to the Light Pix Q20. It has more than 3 flash settings (and what is with the flash having 1, 1/2, and 1/3?)

I have already bought one when it first came out, quite happy with it so far. There are quite a lot of new flashes in the market recently, can’t say this is the best for digital camera, but this is the best for film or analog camera.

Yo nice flash! Thanks for reviewing. Are you able to check out the Godox im30!?! It's small and cheap but idk anything about it. Thanks again.

It looks pretty cool. I've been using the Godox iM30 (gn 49) and will probably stay with that for $35.

iM30 is definitely better if you know how to meter flash (which isn’t hard to figure out if you have a digital camera). Would be interested to see an updated Keks model with more than 3 settings

Godox has an upcoming flash that's similar size but can angle the flash for bounce flash 🙌

Is that shoe mount made of plastic !? If so, that’s a no, thank you.
@kekscamera81312 күн бұрын
There are buffer zones designed on both sides of the shoe mount, plastic shoe mount allow higher compatibility with different camera’s hot shoe. Also, it won’t scratch the hot shoe of your camera.

The godox im30 is way better and cheaper it’s only 40

Godox im30 is not good for film cameras. If you are using rangefinder, the back of the flash will stick out of the camera and hit your head when you look at the viewfinder. It doesn’t have an exposure table too, very frustrating to use.
