Hawaiian Local Food is usually a fusion of Chinese, Japanese and Hawaiian flavors. Pork Hash used to be one of my favorites back in my school days in Hawaii, used to buy it at our favorite Manapua truck parked near the school. 808 for their Loco Moco, Lefty J's for their Meat Jun and Zippy's for my old-time late-night favorite the chili dog plate will be the first stops on my visit. I like the array of fried rices on their menu. Some of my favorites. The salt & pepper calamari I'd like to try again..hard to find places that can cook it right. Seemed pleasantly comfortable & plenty of room for a smaller establishment. A bonus thumbs up for the portion sizes as you all mentioned👍

Hmmm....the beef stew doesn't look like "Hawaiian" beef stew, which is usually tomato based. In Hawaii, pork hash is usually all pork, no shrimp, hence the name. I'm sure your other subs from Hawaii will chime in. Glad you enjoyed your meal.

It's basically a Chinese restaurant with a few "Hawaiian" dishes. I wouldn't go there if I craved Hawaiian food. I -might- go there for Chinese food.

@@VivaLasVegasXA legitimate local Hawaiian food restaurant is either owned or operated by someone that is originally from Hawaii or has lived there for decades….All others are just “copy cats” and need extensive training in local Hawaiian food preparation…that’s a fact!

The 808 Cafe is just another “wanna be” Hawaiian food restaurant in Las Vegas…..From what I’m told, the owner is not even from Hawaii, which does make a huge difference…..It’s like having a Chinese cook claiming to be an expert chef who specializes in French or German “fine dining”….😂
