I am done buying cases of food at Costco. I am working on eating up what we have and will be clearing out the extra 'pantry' in our basement. I really stocked up when the pandemic hit and kept it stocked and now it feels like clutter. I was encouraged by this. I have also adopted a simple 'uniform' and it makes life much simpler. I thought for a long time that this idea was only for men but realized that's nonsense.

I am doing the same. I actually just donated hundreds of dollars of stock pile food because I couldn’t stand looking at the piles of food anymore

I became a minimalist when I was your age and my children were young. I'm 60 now and still get overwhelmed by the physical and emotional clutter of life. Minimalism can slip away from us we don't stay vigilant. I appreciate the encouragement your channel offers. Keep up the good work. ~Alicia

I was just about to buy a Costco membership because I’ve never had one. You just talked me out of it. You’re spot on about the fact that when you have more, you waste alot more of it. Your channel is one of my favorite minimalist channels out there! Plz keep making these videos ♥️♥️♥️

😊 I REALLY liked this video! Everything you said felt very real and not rehearsed. A lot of minimalist folks’ video feels rehearsed even their voice…and its a bit ridiculous. Good job with staying and being real. 🎉

This is what I want. I have kids 1,3,5 years old. I need it to be clutter free. It’s too stressful and too much for me to manage and I can admit that. Love this video.

I’ve loved my smaller wardrobe. You’re right about Costco and bulk- I am working through a few too many paper towels from a sale when I forgot I already had a case on hand.

I never shopped at Costco. I prefer a smaller grocery store. Less wandering, and I can get to the things I need quickly.

I stopped going to Costco because it didn’t make sense for our household. At minimum there’s two people in the house, at max three. Even if doing meal prepping a few days after shopping, the bulk in excess that gets wasted or goes bag isnt worth shopping there. 🤷♀️ I think it’s kind of like Netflix subscriptions; someone in the family has a membership, and everyone just asks nicely to use it when they need it.

Great video! If an item is no longer serving you, it’s great to not be afraid to Donate or toss it! Even things that once held value as a really important hobby etc - if it isn’t serving in the Current life phase, it can go!

Always love watching your videos. This time "The Five Love Languages" came to my mind. Are you familiar with that? (1. Quality Time, 2. Words of affirmation, 3. Acts of service, 4. Physical touch and 5. Recieving gifts) You probably know it already. Would love to hear your take on that :)

I believe that some people just drains our energy, no matter how much we love them, no matter how important they are to us. We can be present when we need too but we can’t pacify others to please them. Also that’s why we left our church, it’s time consuming, having so many events all the time, retreats, bible studies, I developed anxiety because I didn’t have much time for myself because I was busy taking care of other people 😢

Thank you for mentioning buying in bulk. I am just recently realizing that storing those items stresses me out. Our home is small and designed very well, but not necessarily designed to store large amounts of paper towels, for example.

Another thing is trendy/fast fashion make people look outdated if you wear it the following year, then makes people want to buy new clothes and then it's a constant cycle. Yeah having a small amount of clothes is best.

I' would always prefer two ten minute videos over one twenty minute video. This video is great, very interesting, but too long, 21:16 minutes! Too much. Try for shorter.
