There may be no bravery stat but some horses do calm much easier than others. This is what players are confusing with bravery. My rank 20 Norfolk roadster will let cougars walk between his legs. The trick is to quickly calm your horse before it gets to scared and don't spur the crap out of it like most people do.

I’m the semi serious role player. Me and my friends have set up our characters and now play the game while role playing on the fly. Usually just adjusting to things as they happen, but trying to explain away things that happen in a way that makes sense. It was cool. One time we got into a fight with a few people at van horn, and then the law came and started chasing a few other players to Annabelle and we followed as we were wanted as well and we joined 2 other posse’s totaling 5 people. They all died and we were the last ones left. We ran into the hills above, jumped off a cliff and camped out with wilderness camp until morning. I’ve got everything I’ll ever need in this game so this provides me a cool way for new content. R* made a beautiful map and gameplay mechanics for us and its up to us to create a story for it.

My grind everyday goes as follows: bounty hunting, bounty hunting, legendary bounty, bounty hunting, legendary animal, then buying all roles with the gold i have from playing 100 bounty missions. I started when I was lvl 16, and a week later now I'm lvl 33 and level 12 on the bounty hunter role.

I started by grinding stranger missions and playing ANY challenge that popped up. I started accumulating gold slowly, but then I figured out that I got get a FREE bounty license by linking my Twitch Prime account. Then it was off to the races to get enough to get OP4 then went to trader, collector, naturalist and finally moonshiner as I got gold. I was lucky to get collector, naturalist (I think) and moonshiner all at 5 gold discount during weekly discounts.

I think I'm a mix of three. The Daily/Grinder and Outfit freak. The veteran can be split into two sub sections I think, the Moaner, that just slags of R* and the game consistently, but still plays all the time? And the White Knight that makes it there mission to help all the low levels, inviting them to trader deliveries and donating legendary animals. Also those horse loving female players sure do seem to like the races. I met a Japanese girl once that only liked to look after her horse and pick collector flowers, each to their own I suppose. I definitely was the daily challenge streak freak. When they reset, I was at 542 days....I still played daily for two more 28 day cycles before taking a couple days of lol. I feel like being a veteran on rdr2 means more than it does on gta I was playing gta since the first weeks it came out and I still play it here and there but I don’t recall meeting a lot of people and there was never ups or downs other then when I first started it was always just neutral and there was nobody unique on there, red dead was a whole different thing when I heard rdr2 got a multiplayer I instantly picked it up and have played it almost everyday since it’s came out I’ve met some of my best friends on this game I’ve Met some friends on this game who later died and I’ve met friends who I’ve just gone my separate ways with and none of them ever reminded me of the other as well as all the social encounters I think when I hit lvl 150 I started reminiscing on everything I’ve done more and now that I’m lvl 210 I just appreciate everything on this game and even when I get griefed me and my friend group can find a way to be dumbasses while getting griefed and laugh at ourselves. Honestly I’d be satisfied if I had to hang my hat up and call it quits for this game I bet I’ll still remember this game even in my late 30s when we have rdr5 😅 the game might be ass now but most veterans can’t bother with being negative since we all love it in our very own special way and most of us have been all these player types at one point.

I have noticed the horse seems to get a little braver as the bonding goes up. My horse still likes to buck my player off but now and than but now it seems to depend on the predator. If it is a cougar than yeah my horse is gonna dump me and run. A pack of wolves it will stand up too them mainly cause I have gotten a bit better at taking them out before they get too close. The bears and gators are iffy sometimes it's a dump sometimes the horse will actually listen and run faster as I spam the button repeating to myself over and over "Run don't dump, Run don't dump". But a snake pop up and there we go getting dumped again. So what about players that just like to hunt and fish in the game are they in a category?

Horse Bravery is a chance, I wouldn't say it's a myth. My Kladbruder horse bucks me off at the first sight of predators. Same will the Cirollo I think it's called but he has a tendancy to not buck you off most of the time but he takes off running but the Norfolk Roadster I have wow, that horse has never bucked me off ever and will even hold her ground with wolves a cougars. When it comes to Grizzly the horse will move away and slow down but won't buck me off.

That's what me and my friends believe to, plus we think it also comes down to how you play while riding it. Petting and calming down when slightly spooked? will probably help a little+ depending on how much you ride it. The horses i ride less, they will leave me behind even if it's just a snake . My mustang, breton (i'm probably spelling it wrong) and Cirollo are the three of my bravest horses, but the mustang is at the beast of the bunch, wolves are her only major problem. Bears? almost never buck me off, might do it with legendary bears but she will mostly do that if run into something dumb like the legendary beaver or ram. cougars are meh, will buck off fairly often but wolves..if I'm on the mustang and not one of the two others, I'll be food for the pixel wolves. It's silly but this is a small part of what make the game fun for me. It also helps having a horse that isn't scared of bears when you just want to dick around and bring them to friends/ other players.

im just new in rdo. pc. r26 now. i enjoy it actually, but i can really say, griefing in this game is a big thing. defensive mode will not really help. griefers still finds a way to ruin you. sneak shoot you. sometimes with incendiary or explosives shots. you get bounty in your head in town without even doing anything just because the ground you're standing in exploded from an unknown explosive shots and an npc witnessed that explosion. kinda stupid npc reaction. rs should fix that.

I’m literally the veteran player , I have nothing to do on this game anymore , at least gta5 you can keep grinding for hundreds on vehicles , after I got level 100 there’s nothing new to get

So I have elements of the grinder, daily challenge thing, horse lover (I have an apaloosa and horse bravery absolutely does exist). I've been playing red dead games sInce RDR1 online on xbox 360, back in 2011/2012 so I guess I count as a veteran too.
