I actually went back on my PS3 and started playing Infamous and I can tell you it's the most fun I've had I years. I feel like Infamous inspired the honor system since depending on if you're good or evil NPCs will respond differently and the world will change because of your actions and you'll get different endings, cutscenes, and your appearance changes as well if you become more good or more evil.

Yep, they kinda dropped the ball so we can't expect the players to stick around. There are actually a lot of new players when I look in the lobbies (level 5-50) and they will have a lot of content to go through but once it's over, they will probably be gone too. If they even stick around to burn through all of it.

The last time I truly enjoyed playing RDO was the first week when they added Call To Arms. Played with friends constantly on Fort Mercer, dodging canons. But after that we played less and less, only went on to explore the weird 2D looking world of Guarma. Since October I've been playing "Dead by Daylight", and I'm still surprised by their scheduled updates. I've joined Lady during Easter on RDO but while I enjoy talking with her I've noticed I could've also not played the game since there was nothing to do. I'm sad about that. It's such a good looking game, it has potential but it feels dead. What I miss the most is messing around with friends in the game. Sure we play other games but rdo was special. Video games are there to entertain us, but if you don't have enough fun to play a game then there's nothing wrong with deleting it. It shouldn't feel like a chore, it should be something to look forward to do.

It's a shame about the state of RDO, and I can imagine it being especially bad on PC with the modders and stuff. The fact that R* doesn't take the steps to prevent modding, and the lack of communication towards us in general is awful. Personally I play RDO because I love the atmosphere, and just having this big sandbox game to do what I want and play with friends/ meet up with random players, but I understand that it's not enough for a lot of players and respect if people need to take a break or quit. It's sad, but absolutely understandable.

I can understand your reasons for leaving this game, but I can't also understand people's disappointment when you leave, and the reason is simple. They way you play this game and make content is absolutely badass. And I bet you inspired many player to emulate your play style for them you were a master and a hero. But due to my hearing impairment, it was no longer a dream that could come true. I just accepted the fact & tried moving on to other things. For the last 2 days I have been feeling like complete shit from covid when I decided to start rewatching your old rdo content from the pre and post summer update. I kinda miss the original explosion of content from the summer update . If I remember correctly I dropped the game around maybe a year and a half ago(naturalist update) and since then I haven't kept up much with any "updates" from pvpcat. I looked at his channel and one of his videos recently and it is not too different from what is was almost more than a year ago, but seeing you upload rdo content while I'm binging old rdo is a huge coincidence haha.

What I look for in video games is: Goal Completion that affects Stat grinding + gets you better at the game, fun combat systems, and good story and immersion. For me, these are the perfect elements for a great game.

It’s normal not to be interested in games anymore beyond the few you fell in love with, most games that are “new” aren’t actually “anything new” and / or don’t offer a quality experience. In my opinion stick to the games that interest you but take them for what they are and focus on not what they could be but what they are to you atm. RDO always has colosal potential, but will never live up to that, which is a shame but moving past it you can enjoy it occasionally for the unique gameplay it offers! Great video! I hope you succeed in the rangers!

Red dead online and overwatch changed my life for the better if I'm gonna be honest. Both of these games were so good at one point but just fell so hard. I started going to the gym, learned that I'm interested in architecture and even saw myself becoming more social and having a positive outlook on life. These games were amazing once but now it's only good for some memories and nothing else

Personally though I've gotten back into rdr2 story mode and have been enjoying it, I play elden ring a lot cause I love souls games and bloodhunt BR as well. I also have some friends that just picked up rdo so it kindve incentivised me to play again. I try plenty of games but nothing I really stick to. Also though good luck getting into the rangers, it seems you have a lot of passion for it and I hope for the best

About RDR 1 jack’s ending That’s the thing you can kill Edgar‘s wife and brother but the game doesn’t force you to. It should have especially if rockstar never has any plans to ever do Jack’s story. And regardless after a while somebody’s gonna notice that that family is missing. I’m sure that they have friends and what not elsewhere. Eventually somebody will probably find out that they died or missing and that’ll get back to Blackwater, and that one agent that Jack first asked will give a statement saying he remembers speaking to a “young guy late teens early 20s” who is looking for him… considering what happened to John is not ancient history to the blackwater police and considering Jack would have a high motive to go after Edgar they’ll likely pin all those deaths on him. So even if the agent alone is left alive by rockstar there’s still a sizable enough loose end to make a story out of that. If they ever remake red dead redemption and they are definitively sure they don’t want Jack to have a story, he either needs to just not go after Edgar at all and move on. or they need to kill off all three witnesses immediately that’s part of the mission not a choice. As it stands now technically John’s own game isn’t even an necessity if we pretend rdr 1 never existed. And only focus on rdr2 and how that ended, literally zero need for a sequel for John he avenged The gang killed Micah, and kind of made peace with Dutch, got rich, got a ranch, and his whole family is alive and the last “good” gang members have a happy ending too.. and the surviving “bad” gang members had really no interest in going after John so he was pretty safe. So those federal agents that just happened to find John somehow after all these years (in the credit seane) seams a little far-fetched and kind of forced. They should’ve just ended the story there and I think many of not most people would probably agree. *Again pretending red dead redemption one doesn’t exist* People would feel hesitant if not completely against John having new story. Statements like “he has no story to tell”, “The wild West is over by 1911 and should never even touch the 1910s anyway”, “John got a happy ending just leave him alone” “sure let’s just ignore Arthur’s sacrifice to save John and his family”, this is more or less what probably most if not everybody would be saying if red dead redemption two was created first. But back to Jack he arguably deserves a sequel narratively speaking more so than John ever did considering John pretty much got everything he wanted. as compared to Jack who has a a massive cliffhanger about the fate of a young man killing a top brass federal agent and (canonically speaking) naïvely let 3 people live who could lead to his arrest…. Jacks ending, literally involves him asking a federal agent, Edgar‘s wife and Edgar‘s brother about where to find Edgar himself. And canonically speaking let’s all three of them live and only kills Edgar… The brother most likely is the one who finds the body or at least reports him missing, that gets back to blackwater and then the agent gives the statement describing a young man looking for Jack. Then the police will ask themselves “what kind of young man would have an issue with a retired federal agent like edger so much so to track him down and kill him”. They will also get statements from the brother and the wife no also match the same description the agent had about jack. Then considering what happened to John at breachers hope is not ancient history to the blackwater police. they’ll will be looking at Jack very closely on this and certainly blame him for it, he does have biggest motive to wanna kill him, no alibi to suggest otherwise, and most likely will not be at home and not return home realistically after killing someone like Edgar so.…. Rdr3 “ Red dead revelations” And yes I know there is a book in GTA that has Jack’s name on it. But that *only* proves he published 1 book. he technically could’ve done that in the few years following John’s death before even going after Edgar in 1914 for all we know. He could’ve died an outlaw, died in World War I, we have no idea truly how that kid turn out and considering we watched him grow up, leaving his adult life a mystery I just feel is subpar to really treat him with such low regard as a character.

It is becoming a big problem across all players playing. Its called over stimulation and life passing you by. There is a whole world out there and people are even depressed about that when you talk to people and they give their phone more attention then the people around them. Some day you will face death and wonder what was my purpose in this life. This is my take on it as a kid who grew up wanting to be an Army Ranger ...became one...was a father, husband and avid gamer...since the creation of Pong-Atari-Arcade Games-Nintendo-Sega-Playstation-Gaming Rigs on my off time...My kids loved gaming with me in World of Warcraft etc...We still made time to do outdoor sports, fishing and camping. I have been retired from the Army Since 2012 was an Army Ranger that you aspire to be with 3 combat tours in the Middle East. I got divorced and remarried after my kids graduated highschool. Since then I retreated to video games like Kingdom Come Deliverance, Total War Series Games, RDR2 and Star Citizen. For the last 6 months out of the blue I quit playing. Look around you and see and hear what is going on in the world. There is an awaking to the truth of what we have become. We have drifted too far from our original purpose were things of this world are but a shadow of its former Glory in the natural world. What I found that was missing in my life was God. For others search your own souls. I am not preaching just sharing what happened to me. Today I am finding a peace and better understanding on what is most important. It is living in truth and in love for each other. Every person has that moment of questioning ones self in this life many times. In those dark hours deep down you know where to find the answers..

Yeah I feel sad and sorry about the state Red Dead 2 is in. It's like they abandoned it. What I feel. I still like hopping on it with friends. If I hop on it by myself I get bored quickly. Last time I was on Red Dead was with Lady and we kicked some griefer butt and I was a little more confident vs in the past because of another game I've been playing with friends. I killed and fought back more. I don't think their going to add more on Red Dead 2. All their love and focus is on GTA. To get more money. if i am being honest... the lack of contemt and updates doesn't deter me from continuing to play. what gets under my skin are all the bright, neon looking colored outfits and clothing that looks like it belongs in GTA. absolutely inaccurate time period clothing and colors. the skins for some weapons just suck the immersion from the game right out of me. as realistic as the game is, there are a lot of aspects that make it cheesy.

Still a beautiful open world no matter how neglected it is. People just gotta stop having RDO as their primary game and enjoy other games then come back to RDO whenever they want. That's the thing that confuses me with people who get mad at RDO creators not playing RDO anymore 😂, we play games to enjoy, let people do what they wanna do 🙏🏿❤️, i kinda have the same love hate relationship with RDO that I do with FIFA since I love football so much, so I'll always find myself going back to it but not in an obsessive way where I constantly get frustrated at the lack of content and updates. On the games thing for me this year it's been: SIFU, Dying Light 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghostwire Tokyo, The Quarry, Elden Ring... upcoming, The Devil In Me, Stray, The Last Of Us Remake, Forespoken, God of War Raganrök, The Callisto Protocol. My standout from that so far being SIFU, was a really fun experience. Keep up the great work 👊🏿👑

@@SlyJohn No problem 🙏🏿❤️, i see a lotta people giving creators flack for not pushing out RDO content constantly, and simultaneously people constantly forcing themselves to play when it's just dry at the moment. Errbody just gotta take a step back. Play what you enjoy. We all love video games at the end of the day and once you're at a point of no longer enjoying you gotta find something that you do enjoy. And yeah on Dying Light 2 you'll like it. It's not as polished as the first one was and doesn't have as much replay value beyond the end game but it was a fun pickup game. The one I'd highly recommend more than anything is SIFU at least for me out of all those games I've played this year that one properly gave me that joy of feeling like a kid again. Then Elden Ring was also super fun but I'm not super into Soul's games so it didn't grasp me as much as it did other's. The only Soul's game to ever fully grasp me was Sekiro. Have an awesome day and hope Dying Light 2 treats you well when you eventually get time to play it :)

Yeah I left GTA 5 and RDR2 for over a year as well and I can say it was good choice cause my God both games are going down hill very badly. I've moved onto VR games now and I've been playing RE 4 VR and it's freaken amazing man. You need to try VR John that'll probably get you back into gaming, well VR gaming that is and it actually requires skill since you gotta use your own reflexes and aim yourself in real time.

Good to see u brother, unfortunately RDO is more than dead tbh and rockstar is basically doing nothing to save it. I still think it’s fun to play it with friends but playing it alone will burn you out very quickly Good luck with your future plans, always enjoyed watching your vids even though I start playing RDO long after you stopped playing it. 👍👊✌️

R* not going to add anything else. It's basically been confirmed short from them saying so. At this point it's pretty obvious they let a great game die. Honestly game game out to early. Had it came out with new console release it been a complete different game tbh

honestly the 3 reasons you said for playing video games, i play them for all 3 and now you say that no game catches your attention for long anymore its the same for everyone, if im being honest fortnite was the peak of videogames and now people expect soooo much from videogames cause fortnite raised the bar to a whole new levels, now i try search for so many games just to keep my attention for a bit longer, i have recently come back to red dead and am enjoying it but i know once i get all the items i want im either just gonna fight online people or stop playing the game. red dead is a good game they just need to add more stuff and actually try expanding their game and get players intersted. if you think about games that have been a success for so long its because they have added and updated their game constantly to keep their player base interseted, games like call of duty, the company that releases the call of duty games just expect to keep their player base by releasing a new one very often and hoping they keep people, sure some of the games they release it works such as the new version of modern warfare 2 coming out but they cant just carry on releasing new ones they need to continue updating. such as minecraft still going strong after about 13yrs and fortnite for about 6ish or so

I championed this dead horse for a year, now I’ve moved on to No Man’s Sky to get the bad taste of R* out of my mouth. Used to be my favorite developer but now I’ll never buy another product from them. Just like they treat their customers, I say now R* you are dead to me. Servers are trash, they have systestems in place to make you spend 4 hours in game for 400$ and then take 200 from you when you want to reform a posse, they make you grind for 2 weeks to become bounty hunter, but when you buy it you see that its absolute shit. Start playing a fun game that relies on skill, and dont waste your time.
