The £90 camera good enough for NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE

In todays video I talk about my trusty 1951 Ikonta M medium format rangefinder camera and how it compares to the 2009 Fuji GF670. Its the battle of the super portable folding medium format camera!
I go through how a range finder camera works and compare how these cameras are similar and very different. I got my Ikonta M in 2001 and it was my first square format camera. A vintage rangefinder camera can be hard to use but I found a way to make it work....and I give some photography tips in the video as to how to get the most out of shooting a medium format rangefinder.
These folding cameras are pretty neat as objects and you'll see them on hipsters bookshelves...but they are great cameras and deserved to have some rolls of film run through them! Film photography has got more expensive, but it's still a lot of fun and if you take your time you can get great results on every roll.
UPDATE! So it turns out I shot Ikonta camera for over 20 years thinking it was a Super Ikonta... when in fact it was an Ikonta M. A viewer of the show pointed it out in a comment. Not a big deal really I guess, a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet! I find it funny that work made on this camera was in National Geographic Magazine, won a Sony World Photo Award and was in my photo book In-A-Gadda-Da-England and the whole time I was calling in the wrong name... maybe it didn't really matter ;)
