No, it's a camera that doesn't take pictures unless the vehicle is going more than 10 over, which means he was going 12 over. If it was a traffic stop, the officer would have to be here.

Judge Capri said "It is 2 over what we charge". The "what we charge" part is important because that tells us that if a motorist is over the speed limit only a small bit then the judge will dismiss it depending on what they deem to be fair. From what Judge Caprio said I understand that the motorist was 2 over that threshold again.

My dad was still driving at 90 years old and frequently went over the speed limit and did too much lane changing. I told him I wouldn't mind him still driving if he would drive like a 90 year old man instead of a teenager. If we had to go somewhere together, I drove because he scared me. This gentleman seemed like a very wise person, except for this one incident, and he seemed to indicate that he wasn't driving all that fast then.

My Dad got a ticket in Denver, involved a fender bender so he had to go to court. I think he was about 81 at the time. He was a great driver, not the old guy who went 30 in the left lane during rush hour. Dad was afraid they would "take" his license. The judge gave 5 minute monologue to the gallery telling all there they should be ashamed that an 80 something YO man would be here for his FIRST traffic offense.
