Looking forward to the follow up on this. Particularly if they gave you any pushback or difficulty because of the firing schedule and lack cleaning or lube over time. Not making excuses because if that alone was the issue then a good breakdown, clean and lube should have resolved the problem. Thanks for documenting this 👍

Yes sir we should have a partial follow up video put up tomorrow sometime it will not include absolutely everything, but it will give some insight as to what happened with the gun. I will tell you this we have not cleaned it because we intended to shoot it the entire 1500 round, although that has been a daunting task. The reason we did not clean it is because the reason it failed was a relatively small thing and we thought that we could fix it ourselves and just continue the review up to 1500 however, that’s when things started to get shady with Mossberg and, we ended up sending the gun back to them and they sent us an email yesterday telling us it would be 6 to 8 weeks before we received it back and what you learn what they have to do to fix it. It will be mind-boggling to you why it would take eight weeks. But either way I stay tuned for that video tomorrow. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.

I just have to state the obvious----850 rounds without malfunction is nothing less than impressive. Other than our military, or other high end operators, no one should be shooting this much without cleaning; if you do, you shouldn't own firearms. That said, Mossberg just got called out on their BS marketing---Good job guys, great video. In reality, I can't fault Mossberg until I see this same test conducted on Remington, Browning, Benelli, or Beretta----That would be a truly spectacular test if you could find a sponsor to donate those firearms. From My own experience, I have had a Mossberg 930 JM pro for a few years and I ran 200-300 rounds during range trips quite often when practicing for three-gun (Those shots were shared between me and my son)--and I have never had a failure. I have should everything from cheap practice loads to slugs, OO buck, 3 inch magnums etc and this gun has ran like a champ. This in mind, I am a huge Mossberg Fan. Especially since they are about half the price of a comparable Benelli or Beretta. Just my 2cw. Thanks again guys for a great video.

I've got a 930 that is 7 yrs old. Ive hunted it in pretty tough conditions here in MN & ND. I had a couple stove pipes a couple years ago with Kent ammo that seemed like the shell opened up too long and couldn't fit out of the ejection port. I shot 5 stand last year and had 2 failures to eject on cheap, light Winchester target loads. Ive never had a problem hunting and I do a lot of that. I have put some OR3GUN parts in it and haven't had any issues. I keep my semi autos clean though.

I am going to assume based off of the question that you have not watched all eight or 10 videos that I have up on this shotgun. We set out on a mission to shoot various different types of ammunition through this gun without cleaning up to 1500 rounds Because according to the manufactures advertisement, you could go 1500 rounds between cleanings we got roughly 800 rounds in without any problems and then it all began to fall apart literally. First it started out with the safety breaking, and then the ejector broke and then the mag tube follower broke. Had an atrocious time with the customer service at Mossberg and they made me pay $40 to ship it to them and ship it back. Although they did fix it, they did not indicate in the box Paperwork explaining what they did they did it or they fixed it. I took it back to the range and ran an additional 50 rounds through it and realized at that point it had became a jam-o-matic when it was never that way before. I sold the POS and would recommend only pump shotguns from Mossberg and even some of those are sketchy. I’m personally done with them after my experience with the customer service. Before you started shooting, did you break it down and clean/lube it?
@GSquaredTactical2 ай бұрын
I actually did because I knew that I was going to be running this for 1500 rounds without cleaning it because that was Mossbergs claim to fame with this firearm. The safety broke the magtube follower broke and the ejector broke once they made me pay to ship it back to them to fix it After being a bunch of dicks I ran a box of 25 through it and it had become a jam-o-matic where it was before. Unless I die, or I have an out of body experience and my spirit or soul purchases a Mossberg I will never purchase another Mossberg as long as I live not because it failed but because of their horrible customer service and the unavailability after market parts from Mossberg. Also, it’s pretty common when someone loves a particular firearm so much for them to try and find a reason why it failed outside of just poor craftsmanship and typically when people ask if you cleaned and lubed, it is a indication of them trying to make an excuse for the firearm. Not saying that’s what you are doing, but to answer your question yes, I did clean it prior to starting the 1500 rd I suppose you could say torture if you will.
@ramotinmahazol2402 ай бұрын
No, I’m not accusing you of anything. I appreciate the reply. I didn’t see in the video about initial breakdown and cleaning. I know some gun manufacturers say it’s required or voids warranty etc. That’s a shame. I really like this shotgun, but Mossberg not standing behind their product is a no go for me. Any comparable shotguns like this you’d recommend? I’m not worried too much about price. Probably go up to $2k. Thank you.

Except that tells me you didn’t watch the full video. The ejector broke, the safety broke and the mag tube follower broke. There other videos with our horrible experience with customer service. Also, everytime a 10mm, 45 or 12 gauge fails that people like they blame the ammo or the shooter. We have ON CAMERA 830 rounds of this very same ammo without even one single issue and at 831 it all went down hill. Thanks for watching

That is ammo related Sir.
@GSquaredTactical19 күн бұрын
@@adamdinsmore4229 no it’s not sir!! Same ammo ran nearly 800 rounds flawlessly and then within 59 rounds after that the safety broke, mag tube follower broke and what caused this problem was ultimately that the extractor/ejector broke. Less than a year old Mossberg made me pay to send it back with horrible CS and when it came back it was a jam-o-matic. I will assume you haven’t saw all of the other videos on this. Thanks for watching

I love Mossberg, but that tang safety has always been a detriment for me. I grew up using crossbolt safeties on everything I shot from BB guns to shotguns to rifles. The worst idea Mossberg ever had was putting the tang safety on the Shockwave. I and everyone I know who has shot them has gotten a substantial bite from them. Hickok45 even took a pretty good hit from one. I've shot the 940 JM Pro and the Beretta A300 Patrol. The Beretta is simply a better shotgun, IMHO.
@GSquaredTactical7 ай бұрын
That’s a fair assessment; the safety is a drawback for sure especially after ours malfunctioned. Thanks for watching and supporting us
@novafox70915 ай бұрын
The A300 is a better shotgun for sure. Me being left handed and left eye dominant I am at a dilemma. I am getting ready to treat myself with 1 of these for my birthday, I feel inclined to get the Mossberg simply because it’s out the box ready for me as a lefty. I am obviously use to moving the mag release on pistols to the right side and the AR15 button on the right is perfect as is in my opinion, but I have only shot Mossbergs with the tang safeties outside of a rental of both the 940 Pro Tac and A300 Ultima Patrol next to each other.

Well you have ALREADY had A FAILURE - the safety broke! You already proved the "1500 rounds with no malfunctions" WRONG. Why are you pretending to carry on with a test that already failed? Not really understanding this whole video from the point the safety broke, the "test" was over!

It kills me when people make comments on videos like this, and do not even take the time to look at the follow up videos where this gun continue to break more than just the safety and the plethora of customer service issues that was had, and it was all reported. Bashed Mossberg like probably no one else on KZbin but yet I am pretending? Move on troll.

Dude, obviously you watched one video of many and are not being constructive at all, but a troll. What crapped the bed was this piece of crap shotgun and it ain’t just me that says it, which is the laughable part. We ran this exact ammunition for just over 800 rounds without a single failure of any kind none zero, nil any other words you can think of for zero at roughly 800 rounds to 850 rounds, the mag tube follower broke the ejector broke and the safety broke. Sent it back to Mossberg less than a year old with horrible customer service and had to pay to send it back myself. They sent it back to me repaired with no gunsmith notes none. Took it back to the range and it had became a jam-o-matic no matter what ammunition we ran, but obviously you only watched one video and decided to be a know it all prick today that obviously don’t know much Thank you very much.

I hate to say it. But it's not the gun's fault. It's operator error and most certainly improper ammo. I've put thousands of rounds through my 940 JM Pro. All of them were high brass, high Dram equivalent, high-velocity ammo. Not one malfunction! It's either a lemon gun or improper ammo. I hope it works out for you.
@GSquaredTactical9 ай бұрын
I hate to say it, but you are wrong. The magazine follower broke the safety broke and the extractor broke had to be sent back to Mossberg to be repaired. It ran well over 800 rds of that very same ammunition before these problems presented themselves but just like always when someone don’t want to hear a gun they like Being spoken in a negative like they will blame the operator nothing new under the sun

Well, listen, I’m not one of those guys who is so sold out to a product that I will except any garbage. They try to cram down my throat and refused to look at, view or hear anything negative about them. I will talk trash about something even if I own it. I love CZ pistols and Chevy trucks, but I promise you if I own one that is complete garbage, I will say it is complete garbage and buy something else. I do understand that there is a element of human era. However, if you watch the follow up to this, you will know the reason for my agitated behavior was because of the horrible and I do mean horrible customer service I received from Mossberg. I will never buy another product and I can tell you a certain there have been more people than I would have ever believed comment on the eight or 10 videos I have up on this shotgun telling me how horrible there was and basically DOA from and how horrible there experience with customer service was as well so there is human error and then there is a habitual problem and from everything I’ve researched there is a, ongoing QC issue with Mossberg and semi automatic shotguns. Thanks for watching.
