Man i swear monsters be doing input reads to avoid counters or guard charges sometimes, like i had a shagaru earlier who missed me like 3 times in a row when i was right in front of him when trying to strongarm, like bruh i know u can hit me.

It's more like arena reads. They are programed to identify damage coming towards them and will dodge that damage if they aren't occupied with an action. As a SAED CB Main, you can see this occur frequently when the monster is standing still doing nothing, and then will jump out of the way of your SAED, and still just stand still until they get ready for another attack.

I find Risen Shageru a bit harder with hammer, it's just the knockdown into the double laser that can cart me, but you get 50 dragon res if you use the blue scroll with valstrax armor, which can save a cart or two.

If you want to play a tank build these days, I'd recommend lance! The new guard decoration isn't necessarily that strong for pure DPS (unless you cheese it with the gust crab), but it is SO much fun, and makes it outright easy to tank, and to stun the monsters, and to exploit every little opening for damage.

At the beginning CB was a joke due to how awful SAED hitbox didn't exist. But after patches and new skills CB is fun. Sure you can now hit with SAED that have the power of thousands suns but also be a meme that pretend to be Insect Glaive. Choose your flavor and have fun.

You don't use flashbombs to stun monsters, it's a counter option against almost any attack and to lose track of yourself from monster... Unless is Khezu, he don't have eyes so there you throw sonic bombs.

Ah yes, since in Rise monsters are extremely aggressive and defense boost take nice boost... Pun intended. This isn't a bad idea. I like to have Def+7, Dereliction+5, Interpid heart+2 what give you absurdly high Def.

@@JustSuzu Oh it’s definitely a custom quest and I think Nintendo mentioned that there were some problems with safe corruption (relating to custom AQs) but hopefully you’ve got back ups, Funquest though!!!

@@makiah_s on world it was easy to get what was custom and what not. But now with whole anomaly things this go spicy and confuse. So now we have editor that allow us make legal quests that are... Questionable at best. Pure custom could be if all 4 dragons was Risen or all additional monsters was Apex. Yeah, Sunbreak with whole RNG mechanics is confusing at best.
