Ain't no stopping Alex when he's a man on a mission. You soon scaled those fences and the ladder up to the upstairs. Great little house reminding me of some of the things my mum used to have. I had a knitting machine once but was a newer model than thar but I did have that hoover. Great explore thanks Ed and Alex xxx

Lovely old place. Nostalgic even Alex. Well loved old family home. They don’t make wardrobes that good anymore. All tacky plastic coated MDF now! Lol. Enjoyed very much. Thanks Alex 🤗💜😁🥰

They really don't make ANYTHING like they used too! That's why I've got a fondness for these places. Slowly being rubbed out and rebuilt in MDF lol Cheers as always Nanny 👍 👌

Thanks for letting us see around this farmhouse. It's such a shame that so many day-to-day things in there, tiles, tins, boxes, packets, books and other paraphernalia will be lost as there's so much historical interest. It would be great if some of these unique items could be saved and displayed in museums etc for others to enjoy. Such nostalgia! Thanks again guys.

Brilliant explore. would've loved to see more of the photographs ;) The small tin on the mantlepiece was Knife polish, we used to use it. Bebe candles I reckon would be from the late 1940's but more likely 50's. Our family farm had a vast amount of candles collected over the years from when mum & dad did house clearances. I can't ever remember having to actually go to a shop and buy any. They came in very handy ,especially in the 1970's with the enforced power cuts. I only used the last of the "family" candles 2 years ago... couldn't believe the price of the damn things now !!!! ;) xx

Facinating house so many courious things from different eras. Looks too far gone to be restored but I hope those fireplaces and stained glass will be saved. I found a place that sells reproductions of those old light switches from my childhood. I hope to have some when we start work on our old house again. Thank you Alex, for letting me tag along again and seeing so much from long ago. You risk life and limb to bring us enthralling videos and I bless you for it. Please take care 💖💖

Such ordinary house hold objects, except they’re all from years ago and now they’re antique. There should be some sort of society that saves these items, they should not end up in landfills. We live in a mad world 🌎 I love your channel. Pompeye is brilliant!

Was very nice in its day. Saw a little bit of the late sixties, but nothing else. The mantels, stained glass windows, and the one door with the birds should be saved. Proof once again, you can't take it with you when you die. And those that inherit don't really want anything except what's valuable. In this case, looks to be the land is all that's left.

2d = two denarii = two old pence (£sd - librae, solidi, denarii or pounds, shillings and pence). Oakey & Sons Ltd Wellington Knife Polish (in that tin) is for... polishing knives! The company made a variety of polishes from the late(?) 1800s, many different applications, also abrasive papers and cloths. Company is possibly still active (?based in Stafford).

I’m hooked on your channel. I really hope the fire place and stained glass windows are salvaged. The lampshades are antique OMG I’d be so tempted to save the amazing things you find. One man’s garage, is another man’s treasure! So sad though, that this once beautiful house has been abandoned for so long 😢 This place is a time capsule. I wonder what the backstory is? I guess, same old story, whoever inherited the house couldn’t afford the inheritance tax? 😢
