There's an old rail bed to the far west of the property. Follow it north, and there is an old quarry just off of the property. There are some cool ruins there.

Spent part of my childhood in this area (near Lyndell). Haven't been back since we left in 1967. That was before the lake was formed.

I like that you showed where things were on the map.

My family and I belonged to a swim club right below the old mansion back in the sixties. We used to go through the mansion and saw how great it once was. There was actually a hidden room that was used during prohibition. A lot was still accessible and many old fixtures were still in the mansion. Such a shame it was destroyed. Also went into the old mill.

We went here today and saw some of the ruins close to the lake. This was a great hike for myself and two 6 year olds with new cameras. Thank you for such an inspiring video. The kids want me to tell you that “We found the mansion!!”

You seem to be in the area of the 1818 house. It was a very large mansion with driveway that lead down to the water. Was standing back in late 1970's. That is at 5 minutes into the video.

I found the channel from this video way back in 2017. I've seen a lot of stuff in PA since then that I probably would not have gone to check out if it hadn't been for discovering Cliff.

what trail do you take to get there?

A warm weather visit to these places would be interesting - could see things on the ground. Having said that, your winter visit was very interesting - enjoyed!

Your "bike racks" are called Stanchions. You have a barn there.
