The base pressure of the rear surface of the car is increased by install the rear diffuser device because it prevents the low-pressure air from coming through the underbody from directly soaring up to the rear surface of the trunk.
The diffuser acts as an expansion chamber to manage the air as it exits from underneath the car and reintegrates it with higher-pressure ambient air. Smoothing this transition reduces turbulence and drag in the car's wake and improves airflow under the car.
The main function of a car rear diffuser effectively increases the vehicle's downforce and increases the car's grip on the road surface and reduces the aerodynamic drag. As the car moves down the road, air at high speed is passing underneath the car at low pressure.

I thought I was torn between the DIRS brace and the diffuser cause I knew both mounted there … I was thinking of all sorts of dumb shit cause I thought it wouldn’t be able to bend around that lip on the brace but glad I came across this video

Paco De La O lol yeah I didn’t end up using them because of my diff brace but they say you do need a rivet gun. I’m still not sure how that gets it to be secure enough to handle daily driving with those things tho

fall back they help the air under the car reintegrate with the higher pressure air behind the car which decreases turbulence and drag. Improved airflow under car and keeps rear end glued to the road

The regular zl1 diffuser adds 8lbs. This one probably adds 15 or so..but it helps create negative airflow therefore it probably adds 50 or so horsepower when you calculate the barometric differences divided by the Ozone thickness. 😅😆
