Louisiana hunting camps offer an authentic, immersive experience for outdoor enthusiasts seeking to explore the state's diverse wildlife and expansive landscapes. Nestled in the bayous, wetlands, and pine forests, these camps are popular for waterfowl hunting, including duck and goose hunting, as well as hunting for whitetail deer, wild boar, and alligators. Many Louisiana hunting camps provide guided hunts, comfortable accommodations, and access to private hunting land, offering hunters a chance to pursue game in some of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the country. Whether you're looking for a weekend getaway or a weeklong adventure, Louisiana's hunting camps provide a perfect setting for both seasoned hunters and beginners alike. With a focus on hospitality, safety, and conservation, these camps cater to those interested in the thrill of the hunt while preserving the region's natural beauty.

I’ve been hunting Venice since I was 16 years old and believe me it’s not anywhere close to what it was years ago and that’s why I don’t get excited for duck season 😞 I would give anything for it to be like it used to be

Same in Northern La. The last really good season was 99-2k. It’s gotten worse every year since then. It’s fkn sad because these kids will never see what it once was

Only time the ducks come down this far anymore is when it’s brutally cold up there in Arkansas and other places 👌 I’m 61 now and just keep my memories of the good old days 👍

You are correct, duck hunting today is nothing like in the 60’s-80’s. Very few mallards, pintails, and geese. Young ducks are not being inbred about south Louisiana coast. Too much flooded corn and rice fields up north. Gray ducks and canvass backs are the big ducks now. I’m glad that I experienced it in much better days and times. Had a duck lease off Big Carrion Gro in mid 70’s. Coastal erosion took up the camp and got to where you couldn’t hold water in the ponds, the ponds would go to mud flats gave it up
