My favorite mobile radio is the Yaesu 2980. I just like the way it works, simple, straight forward, and no fan to break like the one on my 7250 did. I wish Yaesu would offer it in a dual bander.

The 8900 series of radios can be manually programmed much like Baofeng.

A review of radios by someone who has never used a radio…..by the way the kenwood no longer in production….anyone who uses these types of radios also knows that the Chinese brands are far from “best”

Forget the Chinese crap. If you can’t pay the price for a new radio get one that is gently used. That way you still have something that quality and will give you the performance that it’s meant to have.

Don't start buying cheap crap!! Buy something that fits what's around you example is do the research first!! There's no point in buying a baofeng if everyone is on fusion, start with a club if your in the 🇬🇧 & there's repeaters that are fusion now, so do the research... 73s
